Can anyone describe in detail how the life of an art student is different from that of other students? Be specific and detailed
Whenever we talk about art students, many people will say: "Oh, art students are easy and easy, they don't have to study hard for cultural courses, and the college entrance examination score requirements are low."
However, Who knows what the real life of an art student is like?
Yes, the academic performance requirements for art students are low, and the students who apply for art students also have poor academic performance. However, why are the academic performance requirements for art students so low? Because art students need a lot of time to learn art.
I calculated that our school has 82 classes every week, including regular classes, make-up classes, morning and evening self-study, and two hours on Sunday afternoon. There are approximately 1640 classes in a semester. The art students in my class have 5 art classes every Tuesday at noon and afternoon, 8 art classes on Thursday at noon and evening, and 7 art classes on Saturday afternoon and evening. That’s just one week. There are 19 sections of art, which is 380 sections in one semester. 1640-380=1260, which means that art students take 380 fewer cultural classes per semester than students taking cultural classes, and only take 1260 classes, which is equivalent to less than 78% of the total courses. 380 lessons is not a small number. What's more, our current class of art students have reduced their art classes due to some factors, and the course load is much less than in previous classes.
Moreover, as time goes by, more and more people see the benefits of art students. For example, if you want to go to Tsinghua University, but your grades will definitely not make it, if you study art, as long as you get Tsinghua’s art certificate and a minimum score of 470, you can get into Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts, and there are many people vying for it without waiting for graduation. Rushing to get you to take up the job. Therefore, more and more people are studying art, and many people with good grades also apply for art students in order to get into better schools. Therefore, the average scores of art students are getting higher and higher, and the number of art students added every year is measured in tens of thousands. In recent years, art colleges have tightened the number of admissions, and the pressure on art students is increasing.
Let’s talk about the holidays.
In general high schools, the winter and summer vacations last about one month. If the school does not make up classes, they will make up for them at home, but there is still some time for leisure and entertainment. But art students are different. If the school does not make up classes, art students will not only have to make up for cultural classes at home, but also spend half of their time in the studio to make up for art. Therefore, art students' vacations are basically occupied by supplementary classes. Moreover, our school requires students to spend most of their time in school making up for art, both during winter and summer vacations, and to get up early and go to bed late. Our class is an experimental class with a focus on training. Last summer, we went to a training center in Beijing to learn art. Many people think that going to Beijing is great and enjoyable, and they can have a lot of fun, but who knows what kind of life our class is living there? The training center I went to was under full military management, and I had to ask for a leave note from the office when I went out, which was fine. We have morning self-study at 6:30 every morning, go to dinner at 7:00, go to class at 8:00, finish at 11:30, have class at 1:30 in the afternoon, and stay until 5:30, then go to class at 6:30 in the evening, and finish at 9:00. 9:30~10:30 is evening self-study. There are 8 sketches of homework every day, which require quality and quantity. If one sketch is not qualified, there will be a penalty of 5 sketches. The homework is usually completed in the study room at night. Because quality is required, no one dares to neglect it. Every night I have to paint until the study room closes at around 1 a.m. Sometimes some paintings are so slow that they cannot be finished. And I have to get up at 5:30 the next morning, and some people who want to get a good seat have to get up even earlier, so I sleep less than 5 hours a day. At that time, there was a popular joke in our class: Get 5 hours of adequate sleep every day. Later, because it was our first time there and we were in our first year of high school (most people only went to the training center in Beijing to make up for their classes in their senior year of high school), we were a little bit unbearable. The professional teacher who took us there saw that we were very tired and felt distressed, so he communicated with the school. , canceled the morning self-study, and reduced the daily homework assignments to 5. Although you don't have to get up early in the morning, because you have been painting colors, you can only achieve good results if you have a good position. Therefore, many people have to get up at around 4 o'clock every morning without washing and getting dressed, then go to the studio to reserve a seat and return to the dormitory. Sleep for a while without taking off your clothes, and then wash up when you get up. I once went to occupy a place at 5:20 in the morning. When I arrived at the studio, the best seat was already occupied, and I occupied a decent place. At 5:40, I was about to go back to the dormitory. When I looked up, there was a painting standing in the back row. There is no place left. Moreover, there are no days off on Saturdays and Sundays, and they only have one day off on Mondays, but they still have classes in the evening and are not allowed to go out of school.
This is just that our requirements for senior high school students are relatively loose. For those students in the third year of high school, they have much more homework every day than we do.
This year’s winter vacation, I won’t take a holiday after the exams. I will start making up art work at school directly until the 27th or 8th, which is about 4 or 5 days. I go home to celebrate the New Year, and then I start to make up for it until the eighth day of the Lunar New Year. I go home in the afternoon of the fifteenth day of the Lunar New Year, which seems to be the 17th, and then school starts on the 20th. Our class was led by professional teachers. We left for Beijing to paint on the morning of the fifth day of the lunar new year. We also went to the training center we attended during the last summer vacation. We went there for 15 days and came back after school started. Because I was good at art but not in cultural classes, I asked my teacher to go home and take extra classes, so I skipped the art tutoring classes I took a year ago.
Every year, senior high school art students will go to the art training center in Beijing to paint from October to November. During this period, there is basically no time to study cultural classes. When they return in mid-to-early February of the following year, , the culture class may have been almost forgotten. At this time, there is very little time to study the culture class, so the art students in the third year of high school are much more nervous than the culture class students. Our teachers often say that the second year of high school for art students is equivalent to the third year of high school, because art students in the third year of high school have almost no time to study cultural courses. While other students were celebrating the Chinese New Year at home in early February, most art students had been traveling to various examination centers in other places and could not see their families during the Chinese New Year. Some colleges and universities even arranged their independent admission examinations on New Year's Eve or the first day of the new year while others were having fun. The art students were taking exams in the examination room.
This is an art student, a relaxed art student in the eyes of ordinary people. The tears of art students cannot be seen by others. Therefore, those who do not understand art students should no longer "think" art students in the same way as they used to. Art students are actually much harder than students in cultural courses, and the money they spend is not only ten times that of students in cultural courses.
I hope people who read this article can understand art students. This is the voice of all art students.
Thanks for reading.
