What does mango tree look like?

Mango tree is an evergreen tree, which grows faster and can grow to 30 meters high. The crown is large and dense, conical, like an umbrella, and sometimes oval or round. Mango leaves are long, narrow, oval, dark green, shiny, slightly sharp at the tip, neatly arranged, with new buds, and often emit aromatic smell when flowering.

The fruit of mango tree is the main highlight of the whole tree. The fruit is oval or ovoid, with smooth peel, yellow flesh, tender meat, rich juice, delicious taste and high nutritional value.

Mango trees also have different varieties, each with different shapes and fruits. Therefore, when planting mango trees, we should also choose suitable varieties and carry out appropriate cultivation management according to different climatic conditions and soil environment.

Distribution range of mango in China

Mango is cultivated in China and Hainan, among which Dongfang, Changjiang, Ledong and Qiongzhong are the most cultivated places. Mango is planted in all parts of Guangdong Province except the mountainous areas in northern Guangdong, and the main producing areas are concentrated in Zhanjiang, Maoming and the Pearl River Delta. The main mango producing areas in Guangxi are concentrated in Baise, Qinzhou, Nanning, Yulin and southern Liuzhou. Mango in Yunnan Province is mainly distributed in Honghe, Simao, Yuxi and Xishuangbanna.

The main mango producing areas in Fujian Province are concentrated in Anxi, Putian and Fuzhou. Mango in Sichuan Province is mainly distributed in Panzhihua, Huidong, Huili and ningnan county in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture. Mango in Taiwan Province Province is mainly distributed in the southeast of Taiwan Province Province and Tainei, Zuo Ying, Xinhua and Yujing in Tainan.
