Jin Suyue's Poetic Style

His poems faithfully reflect his spiritual world. As early as 12 years old, that is, 19 14 years old, he wrote a long "mature vision" and published it in a journal. When he entered the age of 20, he officially started his creative activities and wrote and published many poems in a short time. Jindalai, Jincao, Shuozhou Guicheng, standing on the furrow, getting married, etc. It is his masterpiece. There are also works such as Su Yue's Poetry Copy and Jindalai. 1925 published the review of "The Soul of Poetry" and the short story "Snow with Goose Feathers".

His poems reflect the grief and indignation of the Korean people's national subjugation and exude a strong national interest. His poem "Golden Grass" published at the beginning of 1922 shows his interest in a deep valley full of spring. Although all loves, the lyric hero is not happy, but immersed in sadness.

In Jin Suyue's poems, there are many works that express the sadness of losing one's sweetheart, the pain of parting with one's sweetheart, and the yearning for one's sweetheart. These works reflect the sadness of the Korean people's national subjugation. His poem "Turtle City in Shuozhou" eulogizes his nostalgia and love for his hometown. This poem was written when he was in Japan, and he was attached to his hometown. The turtle city in Shuozhou reflects my unforgettable hometown, my hometown that I have never even dreamed of, the impatience of the colonists who lost their country for countless times in one day but failed to realize it, the sadness of drifting away from home and the fiery feelings for the motherland.

In his poem "Hometown", he revealed the sorrow of national subjugation:

Animals don't know what their hometown is/but people can't forget it/wake up and dream about it/fall asleep without much thought.

Where are the bones of ancestors buried/where childhood friends play/perhaps because of this/ah, I often dream of elves from my hometown.

Jin Suyue's poems are full of aversion to cities. Although I went to Seoul to study, I immediately returned to the countryside for creative activities after graduation. Because cities are places where Japanese aggression and bad styles prevail, there are still ethnic things left in the countryside. He searched for themes from the countryside and rural nature and life, and created poems full of local flavor.
