What experiences have you had in growing your own vegetables?

Experience of growing vegetables by myself

My interest in growing vegetables by myself began in 219. I always like to eat fresh organic vegetables, but the vegetables in the market are often polluted by pesticides. So I began to think about growing my own vegetables.

first, I bought some seeds. I bought some seeds in the local garden store, including tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, lettuce and so on. I choose these seeds because they are easy to grow and I like eating them.

then I began to prepare the planting site. There is a small open space in my backyard, which can be used as a place to grow vegetables. I cleaned up weeds and stones on the ground first, and put a layer of organic fertilizer and soil on it. I also drew some small ditches on the ground to facilitate the planting of seeds.

then I started planting. I followed the instructions on the seed package to make sure that each seed was placed at the correct depth and position. I will carefully observe the growth of seeds every day, water them and put some straw to keep the soil moist. A week later, I saw the first seedlings appear.

from now on, I will spend some time taking care of my vegetable garden every day. I will check whether they have pests, whether they need watering, whether they need fertilization and so on. My efforts were not in vain, and my vegetable garden gradually became lush.

I was very excited when my vegetables began to ripen. My own tomatoes are very nice, and cucumbers are also very refreshing, even better than those sold in the market. My carrot is small, but it tastes very sweet.

generally speaking, my own experience of growing vegetables has brought me a lot of fun and satisfaction. I like to see my efforts pay off, and taking care of these vegetables also makes me pay more attention to food safety and environmental protection.
