Talking about cold front and cold front weather

Cold front weather is a typical convective weather, which usually occurs in late autumn or winter. Geographically, it is most common in temperate and subtropical monsoon climate zones in the western Pacific. The principle is as follows:

In late autumn or winter, the East Asian continent is controlled by a certain amount of temperate and subtropical warm and humid air masses. In high latitudes, such as the Mongolian Plateau and Siberia, due to the low temperature, the low-altitude air pressure is higher. This horizontal pressure gradient force will make the cold air mass move eastward and southward, and meet the warm moisture mass at the continental margin or in the hinterland of East Asia. The contact surface where cold air meets warm air is called "cold front". Under normal circumstances, the intensity of the cold front will be relatively large. When the cold front crosses the border, due to strong convection, the water vapor in the warm and humid air mass will be cooled sharply, resulting in severe precipitation, which is generally manifested as freezing rain, snowfall or hail. The large air temperature difference will also lead to strong wind cooling, which is what we usually call strong convection weather. After the cold front crosses the border, the air humidity will generally drop, and the weather will become cold and dry, but it will be relatively sunny. Due to the high density of cold air, the cold front will be relatively low and sharp. Cold front weather also occasionally occurs in North America and Southeast Europe.
