Process engineers are mainly responsible for mold debugging and are more dependent on experience. However, you lack experience in this area, so ordinary companies may not accept you.

If you have to compare these two jobs to see which one is better and which one is worse, I think both are fine. As long as you are willing to study hard and work hard for a few years, you will have good prospects.

Mold design focuses more on theory, forming theory, shrinkage rate, mold processing technology, gate selection, runner and water channel design, etc. Process engineers focus more on practice and hands-on ability, striving for the shortest time Produce qualified products while ensuring the production efficiency of the mold. Two jobs, two styles! It depends on your taste

My suggestion: Whether you are a mold designer or a process engineer, I suggest that both directions should be involved, but you can have a focus. If you don’t understand the injection molding process and production when doing mold design, you will never be able to make a useful mold. If process engineers want to achieve good process effects, they must also understand the structure and characteristics of the mold.
