What is the kway teow made of?

Kuo kway teow is called a fan in Mandarin. Rice or other grains (usually rice used in Chaoshan area) are ground into slurry with water, poured into a shallow container, steamed in a pot, and then cut into long strips with a knife or machine. Chaoshan area likes to eat "kway teow soup" and "fried kway teow"
