Destiny 2 is coming in December The 30th anniversary version was launched on the 8th. The new version has made balance adjustments to some equipment skills. Let’s take a look at the list of skill balance adjustments in the 30th anniversary version of “Destiny 2”

Before introducing the skill changes , let’s talk about the game as a whole and the real world first:

The 30th anniversary version will be launched on December 8, with only 19 days left.

There is plenty to do in the game - season challenges, Trials of Osiris, the occasional Iron Banner, NPC reputation, pursuing your GOD ROLL, and more. Just have nothing to do).

The United States will celebrate Thanksgiving next Thursday (Translation: Bang Chicken is on holiday);

There will be a very brief weekly report on Wednesday next week (Thursday in China).

Back to sandbox changes.

Some are enhanced and some are weakened. There are overall changes to the game framework from the code level, and you will obviously see a clearer distinction between the PVE and PVP versions...and more.

If you are confused about these changes, we will do our best to clarify the content of these changes on social platforms and Bangji forums. (Annotation: I will try my best to translate these messages to the community) Without further ado, let’s let the designers of the sandbox team appear.

The new king is ready

Skill Sandbox Team Leader-Kevin Yanes: I am basically certain that this is our biggest skill balance adjustment to date.

Kevin: Earlier this year, a large number of players reported that Crucible Arena was dominated by skills, leaving little room for gunplay. Players can use their abilities over and over again, and they are deadly. Destiny is still, at its core, a "space magic" game, so any adjustments to skills must be done with caution. I think our changes this time can retain the interesting parts of the skills in the destiny system, while getting rid of those annoying dead branches. What I want to emphasize is that the advantage of Destiny 2 is that as a service game, we can adjust our sandbox at any time, and you will also see that this change leaves us more room for a balanced version. Let’s ask Eric Smith to introduce us to the detailed version changes.

Variable ability cooldown system

Eric: In the 30th anniversary version, every small skill in each type of skill (super, melee, grenade, etc.) Each has its own cooldown time, which will give us a more detailed way to adjust the balance of the version. With the introduction of this system, we have individually adjusted the skill CDs of each talent tree and calibrated their strength based on this. An excellent example is the Flux Grenade, see:

Flux Grenade:

Cooldown increased from 82 seconds (T3 Discipline) to 182 seconds seconds;

The attached explosion damage is increased from 150 to 250; (PVP 1 shot per second)

The damage to PVE combatants is increased by an additional 15%; (Under the premise of the above damage increase, 15% increase)

Removed projectile tracking;

Added a small amount of aiming assist;

Throwing speed increased by 117%;

Now Will adhere to any surface.

Eric: As you can see, the CD of plasma thunder has now become super long, but the benefit is instant death on hit in PVP, and the damage in PVE has also increased. Note: Currently, plasma mines are only available to the hunter profession.

A counter-example is the flame grenade:

The base cooldown has been reduced from 82 seconds to 64 seconds;

The damage of each scorching sun beam has been reduced from 90 to 65 ;

Increases damage to PVE units by 15%.

Eric: The CD of Flame Thunder is now shorter* especially at 100 Discipline, but its damage has also been reduced.

We believe that these changes leave more space for equipment (Annotation: Can we also leave more space for the warehouse?) Because of these changes, we have added new ones in the talent selection interface. The base cooldown time of each skill has been changed.

In the character interface, you will see the skill cooldown time determined by the armor and skills you are currently equipped with.

Note 1: The "basic cooling time" displayed in the game is the cooling time when the attributes (discipline, strength...) are 30 points. This is because basically the game will "punish" you for having less than 30 points on your board, which means your skills will have slower cooldowns than base. We are trying to make the system more intuitive in future releases.

Note 2: Due to insufficient technical skills, the cooldown time of professional skills cannot be viewed on the talent page. We plan to fix it in future versions.

In the 30th anniversary version, we have made individual changes to almost all skill CDs (making them longer). Our original intention is mainly to make PVP more focused on gun combat. But we don’t want to hurt PVE because of this, so we have made compensatory enhancements for PVE as much as possible. The PVE damage of all grenades has been increased by at least 15%. Melee cooldowns remain largely unchanged, with some weaker melee cooldowns even getting shorter. Class skill CDs have also been lengthened overall, but their changes depend more on which skill you have equipped.
