Is Zhaoqing a wealthy city?

Zhaoqing is a leisure city. Its economy has developed in recent years. It just joined the nine core cities in the Pearl River Delta region last year, but overall it still cannot catch up with the cities in the Pearl River Delta. For example, the salary level of civil servants in the administrative departments directly under the city (at the clerk level) is about 3,500, and the salary in Duanzhou District is similar to that of the municipal government. Wages at the county level are about half lower. Property prices in urban areas are better at over 4,300. The Guangzhou Light Rail Project started construction in 2009 and will be completed in 2012. Personally, I feel that consumer prices are average and not very expensive. The salary level of ordinary wage earners (service workers) ranges from 1,000 to 1,500, with the highest wage level for technical workers being more than 2,000.
