Talk about my feelings about Gymboree Early Education Center

Is it worth spending more than 10,000 yuan to go to an early childhood education center? I get asked this question from time to time. After the children have grown up in the early childhood education center in the past two years, I think I can’t comment on the price, but the gains are indeed great.

I recalled in detail what my children had gained in the early childhood education center over the past two years, and I was still very moved. Let me talk about a few of the more prominent feelings.

The most important thing is the initial image planted in the minds of children as a teacher. We attended two centers in Shanghai and Beijing for one year. Every teacher in the two centers would say hello to the children when they saw them. They would play with the children when they were not busy. They did not restrain the children very much during class, but the children did well. Encourage quickly. Over time, the child will feel that the teacher is safe, appreciates her, and loves her. Now that she goes to kindergarten, she always likes to sit close to the teacher and actively communicates her feelings, opinions or difficulties with the teacher. The same thing happened in the experience class at the ballet school. Although she was meeting the teacher for the first time, she would stay close to the teacher and take the initiative to communicate. I think this is the biggest gift that an early childhood education center can give to children, it is so precious! Secondly, Gymboree provides a large place for children to do activities. I still regret not sending my children to early childhood education centers earlier. At that time, my child was already one year old. It was windy in Beijing in winter and the conditions for outdoor activities were poor, so I took my child to shopping malls and supermarkets. One time I happened to pass by Gymboree and I asked about the courses. My mother who was traveling with me said that this place is nice and spacious and the children have companions. Please sign up for one. At that time, I was a little concerned about the money, but I still obeyed and signed up. The children finally found a big place where they can play safely. After listening to Mr. Li Wenfu’s developmental psychology class, I understood the great significance of such a space to babies. If there are more children in the future, I will send them to an early childhood education center earlier because there is a large and safe place that provides visual stimulation to the children and allows them to crawl and walk with confidence.

Again, it’s the feeling of English. I think this is an unexpected surprise. Since I have attended an early childhood education center for two years, my child is familiar with English. Therefore, after entering kindergarten, the foreign teacher told me that my child did not have zero basic knowledge and that he could understand what she said. Because the child can cooperate with the foreign teacher in class and pay attention to the teaching content, the foreign teacher often encourages her, forming positive reinforcement. I am very satisfied that my children can achieve such results in English classes. I think, now that they have English cartoons, English picture books, and foreign teachers, children should have a perceptual understanding of the uses of English.

Finally, let’s talk about school skills classes. In my eyes, this is a star class. Children attend classes independently in the classroom, and parents can see their children's performance through the glass window. Some of the problems the child encounters in class are very small. She can understand them with a little explanation, but without guidance, she will always have trouble in class. For example, my child couldn't understand "hands up" at the beginning of class. The child found out that the teacher praised other children and felt very sad. Later, she practiced playing games at home. In the next class, she basically raised her hands and said "me me me" to every question. Just jumped in. Another thing, I found that when my child couldn't count one by one, she chose not to attend class and left the classroom. I was able to tell her in time that it would be better to find another way to solve problems when she encounters them in the future. These problems are very small, but they can be solved after discovering the two introductory sentences. Although kindergarten teachers will say that children have such a process and adaptation stage and parents do not need to be too nervous, I think it is necessary to have such a transition. And in this course, teacher Jenny from the Shanghai Pudong store does a really good job. She will record each child's performance after each class and report it to the parents, and tell the parents how to help their children. I learned a lot.

I want to say that whether or not to go to an early childhood education center or which early childhood education center to go to is not the most important thing. What kind of growth a child can have? The most important thing in the first three years is the mother.

A mother's stable positive emotions, timely responses, and deep love are her child's harbor and the dock where her boat needs to dock. Even if you go to an early childhood education center, what your child can gain is inseparable from the mother's love and intention.
