How do college students study?
Myth 1: force yourself to get up early to study. I am anxious to see some students get up after 7 o'clock and go out to study. I want to be like them. So one semester, I got up at 6: 40 every morning and went to the school lake to read English at 7:00 15. As a result, I was sleepy all morning, and my exam results in that semester were relatively poor (although I got the first place in English). In the final review stage, I also tried to get up at 7 o'clock and start studying at 8: 30, but I found that I was really sleepy. After 1 1, you can't stay up for dinner, which is inefficient. Only then can I understand that it is not necessary to go to bed early and get up early to review, but it is most efficient to find the best study time.
Myth 2: Going out late, just don't go to the study room. I have slept for many times and it's past 4 o'clock, so I feel very guilty. I think it's useless to go out for self-study so late, so I'll stay in the dormitory. As a result, I couldn't help watching the drama all the time, and I felt more guilty.
Therefore, no matter how late I wake up in the future, I will gain something as long as I can get out of the dormitory and go to the study room.
After this process lasted for a period of time, I found out the most suitable schedule and review time for myself. In the most tense review period before the final exam, I can not only ensure the quality of review, but also have a schedule that keeps me from being exhausted, and I can watch at least 3 episodes of TV dramas every day (the function of smart phones was not so powerful in college, and the entertainment activities every day were mainly watching dramas). The revised final review schedule is as follows:
Get up around 8: 00 -8: 30, pack a bread and yogurt in the canteen, and arrive at the study room around 9: 00 (actually, I prefer the review environment in the library, but I can't get up too late).
9: 00- 12: 30, eat and drink enough, concentrate on reviewing for 3.5h hours, get enough sleep, and review in a particularly good state. Because breakfast is late, you can go to lunch later.
12: 30- 13: 00 have lunch in the canteen.
13:10-14: 00 to play mobile phone.
14: 00- 16: 00 take a nap for 2 hours and sleep in the library (buy a u-shaped pillow).
16: 00- 18: 30 pm review time, 2h.
18: 30- 19: 00 eat in the canteen.
19: 00- 19: 30 Go back to the study room to play with your mobile phone.
19: 30-22: 00 Review for 2.5h
22: 15 back to the dormitory.
Through the above adjustment, I have accumulated 8 hours of concentrated review time every day, which is enough for the final review. And I am very happy, so I don't have to worry about getting up early. After reviewing every morning, I look forward to watching a play at noon. At night 10, I came out of the study room and walked on my way back, feeling full and happy. I also go to the supermarket to buy some snacks when I watch the drama at night. I have to say that the enjoyment after work is the most reassuring. Studying for so long every day makes me feel that I deserve to be happy.
Second, I want to talk about the review rhythm. I have a knack of reading the book three times.
The final review, generally read more than three books. I don't like sea tactics. From high school to graduate school and now to work, I am used to learning textbooks, "taking this as the foundation and taking the outline as the key link", and there is no way to win.
The first time: read through the book. Write it in a book, don't take notes, don't delve into what you don't understand, leave a mark first.
The second time: look carefully and take notes while watching. You will be surprised to find that many things that you can't understand or understand the first time will naturally be understood the second time, which is subtle. The principle of taking notes is that you can fully understand and make sure that you don't need to extract mistakes, only extract those test sites, important knowledge points and parts that you think need to be remembered (I believe most people who have experienced the college entrance examination can judge this). Excerpts should be as concise as possible, not as wordy as books. I usually use black pen and red pen to extract, and the red pen marks important knowledge points and places that need attention.
The third time: just read the notes. The second time, I usually condense a thick financial professional book into ten pages of notes (A4-sized thin notebook with double sides) to ensure that the knowledge points are not missed. It usually takes only two or three hours to read the notes for the third time. If you have time, you can read your notes for the fourth, fifth and nth time, and you will find that the speed will be faster and faster. It only takes about half an hour to read the notes before the exam. Through the above methods, my scores in various professional courses are above 90.
Third, talk about the measure of review quality.
1. Measure a day's study by the progress of review, not by the time of review.
I will set a progress goal at the beginning of review every day, and make sure to read it three times in a limited time. After reading it early, you can choose to leave the study room early. If you don't finish the progress, even if you stay in the study room until 10, you should reflect and increase the amount of tasks the next day. Sometimes we have the illusion that we have worked hard and that staying in the study room all day is to complete the task. In fact, this is just an illusion that I have tried hard, and it really needs to be measured by performance.
2. There is an expected score before the exam. Evaluate your review level and get a few points.
My goal is to get more than 90 points in every professional course. There is a qualitative difference between GPA and 89 points, and I can basically guarantee to get a scholarship. Usually, the night before my exam, I will go through all the knowledge points from beginning to end, and finally I can leave the study room with an effect: if I don't get 90% in this exam, it is that the teacher is sorry for me. At this point, in fact, the final score is not important, but through such review, I finally got more than 90 points in every professional course.
Conclusion: The above is a summary of my experience, mainly for the final review. If it is difficult to prove, it is another matter. I think my method is more suitable for ordinary people like me. There is absolutely no need for real people to learn from Niu Ba, haha. Welcome everyone to discuss effective learning methods together.
