Jinsha County is a county under the jurisdiction of Bijie City, Guizhou Province. It is located in the northwest of Guizhou Province and the east of Bijie City. It is a strong economic county in Guizhou Province and one of the most distinctive and potential demonstration counties in China.

Jinsha County has a total area of 2,528 square kilometers and a forest coverage rate of 49.3%. There are tourist attractions such as Lengshuihe Nature Reserve and Sanzhangshui Forest Park, as well as national key cultural relics protection units such as Aoshi Roche Tombs and Qingchi Jiangxi Guild Hall.

In the southeast of this county, Huangshadu Inspection Department was set up in Ming Dynasty. In the 4th year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (1664), it was transferred to Southwest Guizhou, and in the 5th year of Yongzheng (1727), it was partially transferred to Zunyi County.

Some areas belong to the upper rock and lower rock areas of Xuyong Rock, and were assigned to Sichuan in the first year of Qianlong (1736). The upper and lower rock areas of Xuyongyan, Sichuan Province are under the jurisdiction of Southwest Guizhou Province and compiled as Pingdingli.
