For five thousand years, I like the story of Meng Huo's seven escapes best. This story makes me deeply realize Zhuge Liang's generosity, wit and Meng Huo's indomitable spirit, and correct his mistakes when he knows them.

This story is mainly about the time when Wei, Shu and Wu were divided into three parts. Some Na people invaded Shu, and Prime Minister Zhuge Liang led troops south. The two sides won a great victory in the first battle of Shu, and captured Meng Huo, the leader of Nanman. But Meng Huo was not convinced, and Kong Ming ordered him to be released. Later, Kong Ming found Meng Huo's lieutenant, deliberately saying that Meng Huo put all the responsibility for the rebellion on him, and then put the lieutenant back. When the lieutenant returned to the camp, he was always angry. One day, he invited Meng Huo to his account, tied him up and sent him to Han Ying. Kongming captured Meng Huo for the second time, but Meng Huo still refused, so Zhuge Liang released him again. Meng Huo returned to camp again and conspired with his younger brother Meng You. Meng You took people to Han Ying to surrender in order to cooperate with others. Kong Ming saw through it and got him drunk. At this time, Meng Huo came to rob the camp as planned and was captured again, still not satisfied.

Repeat this action seven times. After Meng Huo was captured for the seventh time, Kong Ming deliberately wanted to let him go again. Meng Huo quickly knelt down and vowed never to rebel again. Seeing that he was convinced that he was available, Kong Ming appointed him to be in charge of the barbarian land, and Meng Huo and others could not help but be deeply moved.
