How deep is the yard? The willow piles up smoke, but the curtain is not heavy.

Jade music carving saddle tour smelting place, the building is not high, look at Zhangtai Road.

March storm, closing at dusk, not planning to stay in spring.

Vernacular translation:

How deep is the courtyard? Rows of willows piled up in Lv Yun, with numerous heavy curtains. Where are China's chariots and horses now? You can't see Zhangtai Road if you climb a tall building. In late spring, in March, the wind is crazy and the rain is sudden, and it closes at dusk, but there is no way to keep spring.

Background:

At that time, the ills of poverty and weakness in the Northern Song Dynasty began to appear, the gap between the rich and the poor widened, and social contradictions became increasingly prominent. After three years of wandering, Fan Zhongyan, who has a deep relationship with Ouyang Xiu, began to call for reform. He blamed social problems on corruption, while Ouyang Xiu looked deeper and thought that redundant officials and staff were the fundamental problem.

In the end, Fan Zhongyan's reform offended the vested interests, was hit, and was demoted to Raozhou. Ouyang Xiu, as Fan Zhongyan, was also implicated and was demoted to Yiling County Order. In five years (1045), Fan, Han and Fu were successively demoted, and Ouyang Xiu wrote a letter to argue that he was demoted as the prefect of Chuzhou (now Chuzhou, Anhui).

Later, it was changed to Yangzhou, Yingzhou (now Fuyang, Anhui) and Yingtianfu. In Chuzhou, Ouyang Xiu wrote "Deep Courtyard", and China's ancient art reached maturity. He still maintains a relaxed and lazy attitude, and "lenient" towards politics, so that he and the people can live a relaxed life. However, it is under such a ruling policy that Chuzhou has been governed in an orderly manner.
