Tell me the fine structure of the liver, including those.

The microstructure of the liver

Under the microscope, the liver is a reticular structure with hepatic lobules as the unit. Hepatic lobules are small and hexagonal.

The lobules are surrounded by connective tissue, and the edges are surrounded by 5-7 blood vessels, including portal vein, hepatic artery and bile duct.

The center of the lobule passes through the central vein and is surrounded by radially arranged hepatocyte cords. Between the umbilical cords are enlarged capillaries called blood sinuses. All blood flows into hepatic veins to participate in systemic circulation.
