The second possibility is that in a strange city, students may get lost after going out, especially in mega cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. You might say that the people in his dormitory will report it to the counselor. Not necessarily! There are two situations. One is that the dormitory group went out all night and did not return. One is that they are all adults, and the friends in the same dormitory may not necessarily take this matter seriously. It is very common to stay overnight with your girlfriend, and many people will not bother the teacher just because someone has not returned home.
