Want to change the wallpaper at home, how to get rid of the old wall wallpaper?

My old wallpaper is dirty. I want to change it. But I didn't know how to tear the old wallpaper, so I tore it myself. The result is a mess, and the house looks ugly and messy. Now I heard that there is a better way to clean it up, and I regret not doing it earlier. However, I would like to share with you a practical little coup:

1. For wallpaper that can be peeled off directly, you can lift it up at a corner of the wall, such as the top, and then hold the corner of the wallpaper and peel it off slowly in your own direction. Because it is a peelable wallpaper, as long as the force is moderate, the wallpaper will be separated from the wall, which is very convenient.

2. soak in water. If it is not peelable wallpaper, you can cut the old wallpaper horizontally with a utility knife, and the distance of each cut is 20cm or 25cm. Then smear it with clear water or use wallpaper remover, and wait for a few minutes to make the wallpaper wet. Then all the wallpaper strips are repeated twice, and then scraped off each horizontal wallpaper strip with a blade. When scraping, the blade should form a 30-degree angle with the wall, and then slowly slide the blade to scrape the wallpaper. The width of the knife should be the same as the width of the wallpaper strip. If the note breaks halfway, you can wet it again and scrape it.

3. Use steam, which is commonly found in wallpaper shops. You can rent one, but you still need a putty knife with a wide blade to scrape off most of the wallpaper. These devices usually have an electrically heated water tank. When the water in the water tank is hot, stick the steam board on the wall until the wallpaper on the edge of the steam board gets damp and darkens, then take a piece of paper tape and peel it off from top to bottom. If the paper tape is broken, you can continue steaming and then tear it off slowly. If not, just repeat the above actions.

4. Use alcohol. Cleaning wallpaper glue with alcohol will not harm the wall surface, but the concentration of alcohol should not be too high, because excessive volatility may make the white wall yellow or black.

Step 5 use salt. You can gently wipe the wall with white gauze or cloth that can hold salt, and then you will find that the glue on the wall wallpaper will slowly disappear and stick to the cloth in turn, so just wipe it and remove the glue from the cloth.
