About Kunqu Opera's Review ~

I was really excited and curious when I watched the live performance of Kunqu Opera. With the melodious sound of the flute, graceful figures come one by one, as if coming from the painting, singing tactfully, dancing gracefully, smiling and touching. I feel like I had a gorgeous dream after the whole scene. Of course, it's also because of "amateurs watching the excitement". Let's talk about my thoughts after watching the excitement.

I'm interested in the writer of the play. I think it is not easy for modern people to write the lyrics of classical operas. They should have profound cultural accomplishment, flying literary talent and be familiar with the rhythm of operas. I wonder who wrote the lyrics of new operas and how to create them.

I think that the plot design and lyrics of Guan Hanqing are very good, which basically shows Guan Hanqing's temperament and shape, and his representative works are interspersed among them (fortunately, the elective "Opera and China Traditional Culture" just talks about Guan Hanqing, so some allusions involved in the play will not be confusing), and there are many jokes to amuse the audience. What impressed me is the underachiever. So cute), this is very important in my opinion. Humor in small details, or a little low-level, is funny. As long as it is not an excessive spoof, it is a good ornament for any literary performance (opera, drama, film), even the drama is no exception. After all, they have to serve the audience and win the market. It is also indispensable from the perspective of expressing life, and you can always find a little fun and a touch of bright color in the cruel reality. There are witticisms and funny jokes interspersed everywhere in Chinese traditional plays. It is not that China people lack a sense of humor, but somehow it seems to be rare now. For example, our movies are not as interesting as those in the West.

I would like to ask: 1. Is that inspector a new editor? His last sentence "You are a good woman!" It's strange. Is there any special significance? 2. The previous large-scale rendering shows Zhu Xiuxiu's melancholy helplessness and "thinking about marriage". Therefore, when she finally got what she wanted, she chose to give up, which seemed abrupt and reluctant, and she was top-heavy.

What makes me daydream is-why didn't Guan Hanqing and Zhu Lianxiu get married? I think it's reasonable that the two people in the play wake up and can't do without the drama, otherwise they will lose their life value and pursuit, leave the stage and become stupid women. I guess, the two must be congenial, and it is hard to find a bosom friend. However, is this spiritual fit higher than love? Or platonic love ... In order to maintain this precious, wonderful and unclear feeling, will they never express their love and never think about combining? Or is it because of the obstruction of realistic conditions? The Pearl Curtain Show is very special in Guan Hanqing's heart, just like Lin's sister in Baoyu's heart. This meaning is also expressed in the play. Guan said that Zhu is a fairy in his eyes, floating in the world and not stained with the world of mortals. Although "there are countless sleeping flowers and willows", he came to the "fourth sister". Does it feel blasphemous to think of it? Does he think this thick, loving and admiring .. Complex and sincere feelings are not marriage? .....

In addition, the flute is intoxicating, the songs (I don't know what tune) are also very nice, and the costumes are gorgeous-in short, I quite like Guan Hanqing.
