21 years old, real life has just begun

As I approach graduation from college, I will unconsciously recall every detail of the previous three years, as well as my own efforts and regrets. Facing the autumn recruitment that is coming soon, you will suddenly realize, ah, it turns out that I am about to enter the society.

You will ask yourself, what capital do you have that makes you the favored object of the employer among many people? In other words, if you are the employer, why would you use yourself?

Then you will start to think carefully about the harvest and achievements of the past three years, and count the various small prides that can be mentioned on the table.

If you have lived well enough and worked hard in the past three years, you may be very happy at this time. You feel that you have various tangible or intangible advantages than many people, and you don’t have to worry too much about finding a job. , because you know in your heart that you have done your best. Don't force it, don't panic, just be yourself step by step.

And if you have spent too much time in the past three years watching TV series, browsing Taobao online, and refreshing all kinds of information on your phone until you can’t find any new content, at a certain point in time, suddenly Looking back, you will suddenly feel a sense of loss, looking at other people's resumes full of student cadre experiences, competition honors, social practice, etc., but you can only dryly write those few experiences on your resume. , that feeling of loss must be the frustration you felt before you entered society.

There are never ifs in life, only consequences, even if you feel extremely regretful and regretful.

My college life in the past three years, compared to many people, is not wonderful. If I think about it, I don’t have many experiences that can be written on my resume.

Let’s talk about your own gains first.

As for professional knowledge, I majored in administrative management in college. This major covers a wide range of topics, including political science, administrative management, Chinese and foreign political systems, e-government, and human resources management. Financial management, etc., has many and complex subjects, and it does not only involve one specific field like many majors. It can be said that for any of the above subjects, what we have learned are only the most basic things, or the superficial part of a subject, without going too deep into the texture to form a complete system. But compared to other majors, it is undeniable that what we learn may be wider in scope.

Based on this, I used my spare time to learn specialized financial knowledge, and eventually obtained the accounting title. I am not sure that this thing will be useful to me in the future, but what I have gained through hard work will make people feel at ease.

The number of practical activities I participated in during my college years was neither too many nor too few.

First of all, I am a member of the editorial department of the press group. I have written various manuscripts and participated in the production of hospital newspapers many times. I have good writing appreciation and language organization skills. (I feel like I have a tendency to write cover letters, which is one of the reasons why I wrote this article haha)

Secondly, I worked part-time in a regular catering group. It can be said that it was a year of independence. For the first time, I used my own labor to support myself (mainly because I was easy to support). I also realized that the operation of a group or enterprise requires the cooperation and efforts of many people. During this period, I met many interesting and capable people, and they all invisibly passed on some positive energy to me.

The most important thing about this part-time job for me is that I understand the importance of empathy. The store manager always teaches us that no matter how bad your mood is or how wronged you are, you are not allowed to show off your face to any customer, because others come to the restaurant to eat in a happier mood or with friends. At dinner parties or family gatherings, no one comes out to eat to deliberately cause trouble for you. If you go out to eat happily, do you want to see the waiter making a fuss and being impatient with you? ? Without customers, all of us in the restaurant would not have these job opportunities and positions. The store manager hopes that all of us in the restaurant will understand this truth.

Relatively speaking, I used to be a more willful person. All my emotions would be written directly on my face. When I was unhappy, I would unconsciously put on a picture of "The whole world owes me." He has a bad face, says whatever he has to say, has no regard for other people's feelings, and even gets pleasure from pouring cold water on others. At first I didn't see this as a shortcoming, on the contrary, I liked my straightforwardness.

It wasn't until later that I hurt the people closest to me that I realized how immature this was. A mature adult will make others feel comfortable through his speech and behavior. Everything you say and everything you do will at least not make others feel embarrassed.

Finally, I think the internship experience at the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau had a relatively big impact on me. I can’t say how rewarding it was, because all I did was send faxes and It was simple work such as assisting leaders in contacting relevant personnel, organizing files, and reviewing materials, but I truly felt the working atmosphere of the government and the pains and joys of being a national civil servant. As far as this internship experience is concerned, I think it is also very valuable.

Let’s talk about those regrets.

A teacher once told us that the strengths of liberal arts students should be writing and eloquence.

Since the college entrance examination, except for study and work needs, I have rarely written anything. I even feel that I have almost become a person without ideas. I remember that when I graduated from high school, I vowed to tell my good friends that I would keep a diary in college to record my time in college and improve my writing skills. But now this sentence has become a slap in the face.

As for eloquence, I feel that I still lack training. I often lack courage, participate in few competitions, and don’t have much experience in stage expression. Having more experience expressing on stage will definitely give you spiritual comfort for a long time, and it will inexplicably give you a lot more confidence.

In fact, I think writing and eloquence have some positive motivating effect. As long as you do it and express it once, you will feel happy for a long time, and you will also be eager for the stage. The desire to express is really a very wonderful power.

Therefore, I hope that I can have more courage in my future life, be good at thinking, and have the courage to express myself. Don't be too timid.

Many times when you take the first step, you will find that the things you were once afraid of are nothing more than that, and you will even get unexpected pleasure and sense of accomplishment in the process of expressing yourself. Once you learn to make others feel comfortable and express yourself more, I think it will be easier for you to integrate into the group and achieve yourself.

At the age of 21, real life has just begun.
