What is lying called in Buddhism?

We know that Buddhism, regardless of Mahayana or Mahayana, basically attaches great importance to the purity of body, speech, and mind. To sum up, there are ten types of bad karma caused by the body, speech and mind. The bad karma caused by the body is killing, stealing, and sexual intercourse; the bad karma caused by the mouth is lying, gossip, harsh words, and idle talk; the bad karma caused by the mind is: Greed, anger, and ignorance. For example, our body itself can also make people deviate. In modern terms, it is called "body language". How can we say that the body can provoke others? For example, eyes are a part of the body, and sometimes there is no need to speak. It is good for a group of people to sit together. If the other person blinks at you deliberately, it means that someone is not good to you. If you provoke them, you can make you hate each other. The action of blinking your eyes is creating karma.

Words create more karma, and Chinese Confucianism often talks about the seriousness of words. It is said in the Book of Records: 'Only words spoken can lead to war.' That is to say, one word can prosper a country, and one word can destroy a country. If you don't read history deeply, you won't believe this sentence; if you look at history, you will know that a country can prosper with just one sentence, or it can be destroyed with just one sentence.

In fact, the general commander of both body and speech karma is the mind, that is, consciousness, thoughts, and thoughts. The karma created by the mind is mainly caused by greed, anger, and ignorance. For example, it doesn't seem to be a big deal if we are a little unhappy occasionally. In terms of spiritual practice, if we are a little unhappy with people or things, we have already violated the precept of anger. There are many psychological behaviors of anger, and the subtle ones are difficult to detect.

For example, if a good person hates a bad person, this is a matter of course! However, this feeling of disgust is the heart of hatred. From the perspective of humane behavior, this cannot be said to be a big mistake, but it cannot be said that there is no fault at all, because the unhappy mentality is definitely disgust and hatred. But in the Bodhisattva Way, we see this bad person with pity and mercy, just like when we see our beloved children doing bad things, we are angry and beat them, but when parents beat their children, they often shed tears while beating them. Tears are equivalent to the behavior of a Bodhisattva, and there is no real hatred in the heart. If there is no kind-heartedness of parents, it will not be the case. Right and wrong are too clear, good and evil are too clear, which is already the nature of anger.

We know that Asura Tao translated into Chinese means Demonic Tao. The path of Asura is also the path of heaven, it is very high! How easy is it to reach the Asura realm after death? What we usually refer to as the Shinto Way is the Asura Way. In this way, sentient beings are clearly distinguished between good and evil. Because of the heavy heart of anger, there is no way to realize the results, and it cannot even reach the realm of gods and humans. However, it has the merits and blessings of gods and humans. What's the reason? Because he has the prohibitions and views in his mind, what is right is what is wrong, what is wrong is wrong, good and evil are clear and clear. Therefore, if a person makes a mistake in front of Buddha and Bodhisattva, or even beats and scolds Bodhisattva, he can often escape. If he plays this trick in front of ghosts and gods, he will have to punish you because his concept of good and evil is very strict. But on the path to Bodhi But he violated the precept of anger, because the concept of taking the precept and the view was too heavy, and he could not realize the result.

Greed is one of the three poisons. If a person says that he can let go of all fate and only likes purity, that is also greed! Coveting for purity is also greed, and coveting emptiness is also greed. Therefore, the ultimate path to Bodhi is that even emptiness must be completely empty. You have to let go of purity and emptiness. Otherwise, even if you let go of all the connections and live in a pure and empty state, it will still be regarded as greed.

Everyone likes to meditate and cultivate pure concentration, but they have not yet achieved concentration. Even if they have achieved concentration, if they covet the state of concentration, they will violate the Bodhisattva precepts. Why? Because you are greedy for the state of meditation, you will not have compassion, and you will not sacrifice yourself to benefit others. You cannot be compassionate and benefit others, so you violate the Bodhisattva precepts.

Crazy, that’s more. All in all, before you have a clear mind, see your nature, achieve great enlightenment and become a Buddha, even in the bodhisattva realm you are just delusional and have not reached the ultimate.

Killing, stealing, sexual intercourse, greed, anger, ignorance, double-talk, harsh words, lies, and idle talk are called the ten evil karma. What is the focus of our practice? Regardless of the Mahayana or Mahayana, its basis is to first cultivate the ten good karma paths and transform the bad karma of body, speech and mind into good karma. This is called practice. Therefore, practice means checking your thoughts, words, and actions anytime and anywhere.

The Buddha said that all sentient beings create and increase all kinds of bad karma with their body, speech and mind. What does the mind create in their thoughts? They often have wrong ideas, like to be deviant, and even fight against each other. They always think that my ideas are right and your ideas are wrong.

"Annoy yourself and others". Once you have this kind of mentality, the first worry is that you can't stand it, I hate it, and then it will also cause harm to others.

We see that there are many people in the world who do good deeds and seem to have sown good causes, but in the end they get bad consequences. The reason is because they lack Prajna wisdom. Cultivation depends on wisdom. Don't think that you are doing good deeds. Often your body, speech and mind create and increase all kinds of bad karma without knowing it.

The three kinds of bad karma of the body, speech, and mind go back and forth with each other. For example, as soon as the consciousness moves, the mouth starts to speak, the body also moves, and the six sense organs such as the face express expressions. Or seeing other people's expressions and movements, being affected by the external realm, increases one's own inner troubles. The two words "turning around" mean that other people's causes help one's own destiny, or one's own causes help others' destiny. Causes and conditions rotate with each other, like a chain of links, interlocking with each other. All sentient beings often do things that are detrimental to others during the twists and turns of causes and conditions.

‘Mutual conspiracy’ means that you harm me and I harm you. Conspiracy means planning to harm others. If there is no way to do it openly, then do it secretly. Even if you believe in religion, it is still the same.
