How far is the "10 trillion Buddha country"?
People often understand "boundary" as "a certain place", "a certain planet" and "a certain galaxy", but this understanding is incorrect, and it is precisely because of misunderstanding that practitioners usually think that there is indeed a place in the universe called "western paradise" and that is where we practice. After reading my blog post, many people who practice or don't practice still don't understand it, and some have given birth to new misunderstandings and fallen into the fog. The illusory dream of the past has been broken, and the real place cannot be seen. Is there really a "western paradise"? Therefore, I will further discuss with you the "Tathagata's true meaning" in Buddhist scriptures. Boundary refers to the boundary, boundary and dividing line between things. Although it is a line, there is actually no specific image. For example, the meridians mentioned in Chinese medicine have a certain direction and route, but in fact there is no anatomical concept of "material structure", that is to say, "existence", but they are invisible, which can be known to the awakened and invisible to the fascinated. Things are different, so there are "boundaries". Don't we often talk about "boundaries" in our daily life? For example, we always talk about business, commerce, industry, military affairs, politics, finance, education, students, health care, art, martial arts, sports, all walks of life, but who really did it? Is it long? Square? Round? Polygon? What color is that? What pattern is it? They are invisible, but they are all real. These "boundaries" are actually the classification of social groups composed of people with similar personality characteristics, similar working styles, similar learning styles and similar thinking styles. Although these "boundaries" have no definite appearance and shape, they can't be seen or touched, but people living in each "boundary" have some clear "characteristics" because students have the characteristics of students-their unique posture, words and deeds, clothes, things they do every day, temperament, hobbies, thinking activities and so on; Teachers have the characteristics of teachers-posture, words and deeds, clothing, things to do every day, temperament, hobbies, thinking activities and so on; Soldiers have the characteristics of soldiers-posture, words and deeds, things they do every day, temperament, hobbies, thinking activities and so on; Entrepreneurs have the characteristics of entrepreneurs-posture, words and deeds, clothes, things they do every day, temperament, hobbies, thinking activities and so on; Artists have the characteristics of artists-posture, words and deeds, clothes, things they do every day, temperament, hobbies, thinking activities and so on; ..... I won't list them here. In any case, each "boundary" does have its own characteristics, and when we enter one of them, we will gradually develop corresponding characteristics. Therefore, "boundary" is not a concept of "zone", and there is no distinction between top, bottom, front, back, left, right and medium "zones". "Boundary" is a category of life activities, without shape or size, and there is no space-time distance between "Boundary" and "Boundary". Therefore, the three realms, the eighteen realms, the boundless universe, the Buddhist paradise, the concubines' world and the Buddhist realm, which are often mentioned in Buddhist scriptures, are all seamless, without shape or size, and there is no space-time distance between them. Therefore, there is a saying that "one flower and one world, one leaf and one Buddha", and Buddhist scriptures often say that "one dust and one world, one dust and one Buddha country" are all concrete manifestations of "boundary". It's not a metaphor, it's true. The "boundary" often mentioned in Buddhist scriptures is aimed at different levels of life and wisdom, which also involves the difference between "life type" and corresponding "boundary" The same species, even if they live on different planets, are all within the same "boundary" if they have the same intelligence level, which has nothing to do with whether they are on the same planet or the same galaxy. In other words, people who are equally persistent and confused, even if they live in different galaxies and planets, can only live in the "mother-in-law's world", but not in the "western paradise" or other "Buddhist world". The same life on the earth, because of different levels of wisdom, different places of practice, different consciousness or confusion, also lives in different "realms"-including the western paradise, the world of Buddhism, the world of women, the world of desire, the world of color, the world of colorless, etc., and therefore, the so-called "bringing karma to the western paradise" is wrong! What is karma? "Karma" is a process of thinking and behavior. The so-called "living with an industry" means living with an impure industry. If you always carry these, wherever you go, it's a "woman's world". Therefore, those who tell all living beings to "live by their careers" are really misleading children, who misunderstand the Buddhist scriptures in the view of infinite life. We can understand what "living by industry" means from things in social reality. For example, a Zhejiang boss, who is an entrepreneur who makes shoes, went to Beijing to find assistants, partners, funds and business premises in order to expand and develop his own business. Then he opened a shoemaking branch and began to develop shoemaking business in Beijing. He has brought his "shoemaking business" to Beijing, and may also bring it to Chengdu, Chongqing, new york, London and Moscow in the future. This is the real thing. However, in the "western paradise", does it mean that "Amitabha" will give you a license to reopen? Of course, it is absolutely impossible, so how can we say that we can "bring the industry to life"? If you want to go, you can only run naked and you can't bring any "industry". You can't take it with you if you want, and you can't get in the door! Besides, those things can't even touch the door. For example, a farmer who grows crops can't bring his crops to the government office building, can he? If he wants to be a government official, he will enter politics and give up his "farm work". When a person's identity changes, the "industry" in which he works will also change because the "boundary" is different. Of course, it is entirely possible for a person to change from a "farmer" to a "government official" at once. Whether he can fully adapt to the new environment and work at once, his ability may not be enough, and he still needs to keep learning and improving. However, these "obstacles" are all due to long farming time and delayed learning time or opportunity, so his ability has not improved or even declined. This is "karma". Karma can be brought into government work, but please note that karma is not an industry. Karma is a habit formed by long-term engagement in a certain industry. This habit will really be taken away and brought into a new world. Similarly, although some practitioners can "go to the West" and their living standards have been greatly improved compared with the past, many "habits" in the past cannot be completely eliminated at once. Therefore, after they die, they need to continue to study and practice, in order to finally get the real "great freedom", that is, the "Nine-grade Lotus Platform" of "Western Paradise". Let's talk about "the world" again. There are often sayings such as "Three Buddhas", "Past Life", "Next Life", "This Life" and "Next Life" in Buddhist scriptures. Judging from the things expressed, "world" is a concept of time in most cases and a concept of space in other cases. However, when "world" is used to express the concept of space, it has a similar meaning to "world", so it is often associated with "so-and-so world", which is only a category of life activities, survival and ways of existence of all things, not a category of "region" Therefore, the world has no definite shape, length, size, distance and orientation, but it does exist. We can't think that the "western paradise" and "Buddha's world" must be another place far away from the earth where we live. Although there are so many "worlds" in Buddhist scriptures, they are different from "planets" and "galaxies" in astronomy. Although there seems to be many connections in the expression, such as the description of various galaxy shapes in the universe in the Huayan Sutra, the Buddha did not say which of so many galaxies is the "Buddhist world" and which is the "western paradise". If there is a certain "region" or "region" in the whole universe that is "Buddha's world" or "western paradise", the Buddha has already told us clearly, but doesn't the Buddha also have a "time-space barrier"? You must go to those places to be happy. If you leave there, it will be a painful place. Isn't this a clear "parting heart"? In fact, however, when Ananda asked the Buddha, "Where did Amitabha come from?" Buddha said, "This Amitabha Buddha has no fixed place to come and go." Isn't this a fact? All time and space in the universe are "the Buddha country of Amitabha"! The Buddha also said that "the Buddhist paradise of Amitabha is vast and infinite". This "infinity" means that there is no "time and space restriction", so it will certainly extend, and it has already extended to the earth where we live at the moment when the universe was formed, and it is seamless. Ok, now let's talk about the question of "how far is the 10 trillion Buddha country?" The Buddhist scriptures once said: "From here to the west, there is a Buddhist world called' Western Elysium'." Where is the western paradise? "In my previous series of articles," Where is the Western Elysium? I have already said it, so I won't repeat it here. Just talk about this "10 trillion Buddha country". It seems that "10 trillion" is a very large number. If the size of the "solar system" is compared to the size of a Buddhist country, how big are 10 trillion solar systems? Astronomically, it can still be described, but if the size of a galaxy is compared to the size of a Buddha country, which is an incredible distance from a galaxy, what if the distance is only one trillion times that of a Buddha country? The distance of "ten trillion Buddha countries" is even more unimaginable. What if it's further than this? The old gentleman in Taishang once said in the Tao Te Ching that "the universe is nothing more than big" and "nothing more than small". According to the principle of "nothing is too big", we will never reach the western paradise, but if we follow the principle of "nothing is too small", we can reach the western paradise everywhere. In fact, there is no time limit for the Buddha's world, whether it is "beyond, within" or "within". Therefore, Buddha Sakyamuni said that "10 trillion Buddha countries", far away, is endless; Speaking of near, it's right in front of us, right now. But why can't people usually see or touch the "western paradise"? This is the difference between practicing and not practicing, and this is the difference between conscious and unconscious. For example, some people can understand the cause and effect of the same thing at a glance, while others can never see through it. You talked to him for a long time, but he still couldn't see through it. Isn't that what they always say? "I can't open my eyes"? Just because you can't see through it doesn't mean it doesn't exist, does it? For another example, scientists say that everything is made up of tiny microscopic particles, which are called "quarks, photons, neutrinos, electrons, protons, neutrons, atoms, atomic groups, molecules, molecular groups and so on", but have you seen them? You can't see all this without the help of a microscope. Scientists also say that there is air, and air is also made up of many kinds of gas molecules. Do you see these gases? You can't see either. Only when scientists remind you that "when the wind blows on your face, air molecules touch you, or you touch moving air molecules", do you understand that "we can't see the air, but we can touch it". Everything is so. Although we can't see the tiny "particles" that make them up, we can touch and see the "comprehensive effects" formed by different combinations of these particles-shape, temperature, size, smoothness or roughness, color and so on. With these feelings, we believe that air exists and everything exists. But what about people with nervous system failure? He has a pair of eyes, but he can't see; Have a pair of hands, but "don't know what to touch"; He has a physical body, but he is also "touched without feeling." In this state, can he still distinguish color, shape, size, warmth, smoothness and roughness? Obviously not! Therefore, many people just don't believe that the "Western Elysium" really exists, and it is right in front of your eyes, just because they only rely on their own "naked eyes" to feel it. If they don't feel it, they say it's fake and doesn't exist. He lives on the same earth as a practitioner of "western paradise" every day, but he can't see or touch it, and he doesn't know that the people who may live in the same room with him every day belong to "western paradise" rather than "women's world". Every day with the Buddha, the Buddha still takes care of his daily life, but he says there is no Buddha; He just can't realize that although they all have the appearance of "people", they all live in different "worlds" and share the same room and blue sky. Speaking of this, someone will definitely misinterpret: "It turns out that all this is just a' spiritual realm'", wrong! The so-called "spiritual realm" is only an understanding of the world, because it is impossible to achieve "five eyes and six wonders", "self-control of life" and a life range beyond the limitations of time and space. The achievement of spiritual practice is real and not empty, which is far from being expressed by "spiritual realm", "spiritual sustenance" and "spiritual comfort". It is a real life running state. It is the bloom of pure lotus; It is the sublimation of life level; It is the manifestation of the light of wisdom of the Tathagata; It is the freedom and liberation of body and mind. People who die in the "western paradise", especially those who die with high taste, have their own characteristics in their thoughts, words and deeds, temperament, clothes and things they do every day, that is, they are different from ordinary people and people who have not achieved high real achievements in practice. His perception, understanding and correspondence of things are also different from ordinary people, and his "world" is also different from the world. Therefore, those who don't understand can understand, those who can understand can't understand, those who don't understand understand, and those who understand are confused; He walked around the world, never leaving, the world swayed, and wisdom covered the unconscious; He is fearless in life and death, and the world says he is frightened; He is the master of impermanence, and the world goes with the flow; Everything in time and space is free, and the world is fascinated; Let him walk in three worlds and six roads, and he won't get lost. The world is ignorant of drifting six ways and doesn't know that there is a Buddha in it; Mud is full of nutrition. He opened a lotus flower in the Three Realms, and the world got stuck in the mire, getting deeper and deeper and unable to go home; He saw the real Buddha in Vientiane, and the world saw the Buddha and refused to recognize the Sect. "More than 10 trillion Buddha countries" has another meaning. The Buddha often said, "One flower and one world, one leaf and one Buddha country" and "One dust and one Buddha country" are both metaphors and truths. Because everything has spirituality-Buddha nature, everything, big or small, is a "Buddha land". Therefore, "over 10 trillion Buddha countries" can be completely understood as "10 trillion grains of dust". How far is it? People who have studied physical chemistry will understand at a glance. Isn't this everything in front of you? Of course, this is only in terms of "things". A place is such a place, but the "boundary" is different. What's the difference between "boundaries"? As mentioned above, "boundary" is a category of life activities, not a place. Although there are "all walks of life" in each of our life activities, the boundaries between these "boundaries" are not impenetrable. It can be completely crossed and broken. The key is to see how our life works. Life will shuttle between different "boundaries". If we wake up and "clean up" by the way, we can quickly find the direction and path of "leaving", get rid of it and return to "Tathagata". In this sense, "from here to the west, over 10 trillion Buddhist countries" means that the Buddha wants us to practice hard, and from now on, we should "return to the pure land of Tathagata" and do "10 trillion net walks" and finally reach the "western paradise"-"the pure land of Tathagata". One thought, one bodhi, one thought, one Buddha, one line and one Buddha land are reflected in all our words and deeds. "West" means "returning to the phase" and "Elysium" means "Tathagata's pure lotus land"-"mind, knowledge, awareness and fruit". In the unswerving "faith, will and action" that runs through the long river of life, through "ten trillion times" of continuous good deeds, good deeds, mindfulness, righteous deeds, righteous deeds and enlightenment, we can reach the "positive fruit position" of "Western Paradise". This is the real "right way" to "read Buddha and live in pure land"! This is also the "right way" of the "Sixteen Views of Pure Land". It is not chanting Buddha with your mouth, but the words and deeds, actions and stops of real practice, showing "purity" everywhere and "Amitabha" everywhere! "Ten trillion" is just a figure of speech. Don't simply equate it with "ten trillion" in mathematics. If it really counts as "ten trillion times", it is obsessed with "phase". So, how far is it to say "ten trillion Buddha countries"? How far away!
