How to Cultivate Small Class Children's Language Expression Ability

Speaking is a very common thing for us adults, but after a semester of study and life, I found that it is not an easy thing for children who have just entered small classes. Many times, a very simple thing needs me to guess for a long time like a riddle. Children in small classes often just cry and refuse to tell the teacher what happened. Even a few people who are good at talking can only say a few words at most, so it is difficult for them to make things clear.

In order to let children in small classes really learn to speak, express their wishes clearly and study better in this very important and critical period of language development, I mainly try to cultivate children's language expression ability from the following aspects.

First, pay attention to creating a relaxed conversation atmosphere for children.

I remember that in the first week of school, a child named Deng in the class felt strange to our teacher and aunt because of the change of environment. Hao Hao is very unstable and often hides beside the piano with tears in his eyes. When we went to talk to him and let him sit with the child, he just looked at you with tears in his eyes, not to mention nodding and shaking his head at what you said.

The next week, one morning, all the other children were outside the classroom. They are playing with circles and balls happily. I saw Hao Hao staring at the ball in Hui Hui's hand through the glass in the classroom, and his eyes were full of envy. I immediately took a new ball and walked into the classroom. I said to Hao, Hao Hao, let's play ball. Hao Hao looked at me nervously. I smiled and said nothing. I just rolled the ball to Hao Hao's feet. Hao Hao looked at the ball and didn't move. I smiled and said, Hao Hao, would you please roll it for me? Hao Hao looked at me, eyes a little hesitant, I nodded to him with a smile. Then he opened his hands, and Hao Hao finally squatted down and pushed the ball to the front, and the ball rolled in front of me. I immediately smiled and said: thank you! At this moment, I saw that Haohao, who had never laughed before, smiled at me. I immediately said, Hao Hao, I still want to play ball. Would you like to go out to play with me? It's too small here! Hao Hao didn't nod or shake his head. I walked over and gently took his hand and said, come on, let's play outside like children. Hao Hao didn't resist, so I took his hand and walked out of the classroom. That day, I talked to him all the time when I played ball with him. Although he didn't answer me, he kept smiling happily during the game. When I asked him to sit with the children after playing the ball, he sat on the stool without any objection.

I always play with him on purpose in my free time. I will deliberately touch his little hand, kiss him, hug him, and often communicate with him in kind language. After a while, Hao Hao finally answered the questions I asked when I talked to him, and he was willing to play games with the children. I can also read Protestant children's songs in front of all the children in my class. Hao Hao became willing to talk to people in a relaxed and free activity.

Second, pay attention to cultivating children's language expression ability in story-telling language activities.

Children in small classes must accumulate a certain vocabulary if they want to speak clearly and completely. The accumulation of children's vocabulary can not be completed in one activity or several activities, but needs to be enriched and accumulated in various language activities. Children in small classes have less life experience, so they have less vocabulary. Therefore, I pay attention to enriching children's life experience in various languages and cultivating children's language expression ability.

After taking part in a story-telling competition in a small class, the children in our class especially like listening to stories and learning to tell stories by themselves. The period before walking became the story-telling time in my class. Whenever children come to tell stories by themselves, I ask them to say hello to everyone first, and then introduce which class they are in, how old they are this year, and what the theme of the story is. And every time I tell them a story myself, I will say: Today, my story is. When I finish the story, I will ask the children to say what the theme of the story I told today is. At first, children will not introduce themselves when they tell stories, but will only talk about one topic. At this time, I will teach them to say complete words sentence by sentence and let them know that they should say complete words. After a semester of training and imitation, they will now tell stories like this: Hello, everyone, I am XXX from Class 3, and I am X years old this year. The story I tell you is called X, and some children will add: I hope you like me.

Through the language activities of telling stories and listening to stories, children not only know all kinds of interesting things, but also increase their vocabulary, speak clearly and completely, and enhance their self-confidence.

Third, pay attention to cultivating children's language expression ability in autonomous games.

Children in small classes have strong imitation ability, and they like to imitate adult activities. So I set up two dollhouses and several activity areas in the indie game.

At the beginning of playing games, children only know to play the mother or father of the doll's house. During the game, there is no language communication, that is, walking around the doll's house, or mother feeding his father and other body language. So I asked my children to go back and observe what their parents would do when they came home from playing games and what they would say before eating. When playing games, I will be a guest, talk to them during the game and guide them to express what they want to do in words during the game. The theme activities of little host and little guest were also generated, in which a series of activities such as duck brother's treat were carried out to let children know how to be a good host and guest of doll house and how to use polite language correctly to communicate. Children not only have fun in games, but more importantly, their language skills are constantly improving.

In a word, our teacher should be a conscientious person, and encourage and inspire children to speak boldly during the day's activities, so that their language expression ability can be improved continuously.
