Where is Susan's ancestral home?

It's Luancheng, Hebei.

In the history of China literature, Su Xun, Su Shi and Su Zhe are called "the eight great masters in Tang and Song Dynasties". They were all born in Meishan City, Sichuan Province, but their ancestral home is Luancheng District, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. From the Southern and Northern Dynasties to the early Tang Dynasty, Luancheng was under the jurisdiction of Zhao County (now Zhao County, Hebei Province).

Su San is a descendant of Su Weidao, who died in Meizhou and his second son Su Fen stayed in Meishan. In the ninth generation of Su Fen, there was a Su Xun. Su Xun's second son is Su Shi, and his third son is Su Zhe. The father and son became a generation of literary masters.

For the ancestral home of Luancheng, "Su San" has always been obsessed with it. They often sign articles, poems, paintings and calligraphy as "Zhao Xun" and "Zhao Shi". Su Zhe was awarded the "Founding Bo of Luancheng County" by the court, and his anthology was called Luancheng Collection. Su Dongpo's epitaph reads "Luan City of Perilla, Yumei of Xifu".

Extended data:

Su San is from Meishan, Sichuan, but there is a village called Sufen in Ciba Town, Jiaxian County, Henan Province. Archaeological evidence shows that jia county Tomb is the joint burial place of Su Shi and Su Zhe brothers, and their father Su Xun is also buried in Sichuan, while jia county Tomb only contains his cenotaph.

In the Song Dynasty, from Luoyang to Bianjing, it was necessary to pass through jia county, while Su Dongpo passed the Luobian Ancient Road five times in his life and went to this scenic spot with his younger brother Su Zhe. They found that the terrain and scenery here are very similar to the Emei Mountain in their hometown, so they named it Xiao Emei, and they have the ambition of the Central Plains, and agreed to take this as their final destination.

In addition to this reason, in the Northern Song Dynasty, there was an unwritten rule in Beijing that officials working in Beijing, especially senior officials above Taoism, should be buried within 500 miles from the capital Fiona Fang to show their loyalty to the emperor, and the distance of Jiaxian County just met this rule. Therefore, Su Shi's burial here can not only show his loyalty to the imperial power, but also pin his thoughts on his hometown.
