Why is Anita Mui called the daughter of Hongkong?

A bronze statue of Anita Mui, the daughter of Hong Kong, sculpted by the famous sculptor Professor Cao Chongen will be erected on the Avenue of Stars on July 18. The base of the bronze statue is engraved with the inscription "Hong Kong Girl" by Mei Jie's friend Andy Lau.
