What kind of city is Xi'an?

I personally think Xi'an is a city with a very historical and cultural atmosphere.

I went to Xi'an during the summer before I started graduate school. After finishing the postgraduate entrance examination, I just wanted to travel around, so I thought of going to Xi'an. There were many classmates there who had passed the postgraduate entrance examination, and I heard that the food in Xi'an was very good. praise.

Before going to Xi'an, I checked the local youth hostels and found one near the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. That was also my first time staying in a youth hostel.

I got off the bus or took the bus all the way to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda according to the route I checked. It took me a long time to find the youth hostel I wanted to stay in. This youth hostel should be considered a very typical one, but since I am a head I felt very novel when I stayed there for the first time.

The first floor of the youth hostel is the kind of activity room. Inside is a large kang, with a table in the middle for playing chess, and next to it is a hall with many tables and stools, and a wall The whole place is a blackboard, with the boss's travel suggestions for tourists and many messages from tourists written on it. The other wall is a large bookshelf filled with various books. There is also a pool table in the hall on the other side for everyone to play. All the rooms are above the second floor, and the first floor is all for everyone to have activities.

During the day, we first climbed the city wall with my friends. We felt how small we were under the high city wall and marveled at the great wisdom of the ancients in building this high city wall to resist foreign attacks. After walking around the city wall, looking down from the top of the city wall, I felt that pedestrians and cars were very small.

When I came back, I visited the nearby Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is the tallest building nearby. At first glance, it feels like it towers into the sky. In front of the tower is a fountain stepped square, where many people play in the water and take photos.

In the evening, I happened to meet some friends from the youth hostel. After chatting, we made an appointment to go to the Tang Dynasty Furong Garden. The Furong Garden at night was very gorgeous under the lights. It was a palace of the Tang Dynasty. There is a sense of grandeur, and there are many statues and buildings in the yard, which also let us see the prosperity of the historical relics of the Tang Dynasty.

My friends and I went to Xi’an’s Huimin Street at noon the next day. I felt that many of the meals in Huimin Street were indeed authentic Xi’an noodles, such as the mutton steamed buns that I ate for the first time. Maybe this is what I eat. Southerners like this are not used to eating this kind of food. They think it is not as delicious as the legend says and is a bit greasy. However, the local Roujiamo is definitely a first-class food. There are a lot of people in Huimin Street. It is recommended that you don’t have to go to the delicious restaurants that are mentioned online, just find some restaurants opened by local people.

The whole city of Xi'an gives people a somewhat ancient, cultural and historical feeling. Many local people do not rush to and from get off work as much as they do here in Beijing, and most of the houses there are unsightly. It looks more contemporary. And the greening is very good, giving people a green feeling. I like Xi'an very much, because it is not as comfortable as Chengdu nor as nervous as Beijing. It has its own rhythm and its own cultural heritage.
