Jietai Temple is one of the oldest royal temples in Beijing, with a history of 1400 years. There are 1 103 lilacs in the temple, all over the garden. Among them, ancient lilacs are very precious flowers and trees, and there are as many as 20 ancient lilacs with a flower age of more than 200 years, which were given by Emperor Qianlong. Generally, the flowering period is from early April to mid-May, with purple-white flowers, dense spikes and strong fragrance. The ancient lilacs in the temple are rare in Beijing and second to none in Beijing.
