Land is so widely used, what will happen to our human life and production if it is lost?

Land resources are of vital importance to mankind. Land is the material basis for human survival and development, the means of labor for social production, the basic means of production for agricultural production, the source of all production and existence, and the condition for existence and reproduction that cannot be sold.

First of all, without land, human beings can't survive, just as people need air, water and sunshine. Land provides objective and basic material conditions for human survival and development, and human beings obtain basic conditions for food, clothing, housing and transportation from land. Especially when other conditions remain unchanged, the quantity, quality and distribution of land determine the population load of land and the average quality of people's life. If human beings can develop, utilize, transform and protect the land correctly and scientifically, so that people can combine with the land correctly and maintain an appropriate proportion, they can realize the sustainable use of land and the sustainable development of human beings in the process of using land, obtaining land products and using land.

Agricultural production needs more land than other industries. In agricultural production, land is not only the object of labor, but also the best and most important means of labor. Narrow agriculture has strict requirements on soil, climate, landform, hydrology and other conditions. Therefore, only land with certain conditions is suitable for agricultural production.

Third, land is the core of human relations of production. In human economic life, the ownership of land determines the production relationship based on land ownership, that is, the mutual relationship and distribution relationship between people in the process of reproduction. Specifically, it determines the existence and level of land use system, differential rent, absolute rent and land price, and is closely related to the existence and level of land product cost, production price and market price. At the same time, the importance of land also determines the necessity of socialized management of land by China or other social representatives in all societies. Dealing with the relationship between people in different societies needs to involve land relations to a considerable extent.

The development of social productive forces will not only reduce the importance of land issues, on the contrary, land has become a major worldwide issue affecting the sustainable development of mankind.
