Essay about Puxian Opera
The influence of traditional Chinese music on me ranges from the music of the ancient Xia and Shang dynasties to today’s music. Music has accompanied generations of people and influenced a large number of people. Music has also continued to develop with the progress of human beings and has become a kind of spiritual sustenance for people. Music has also brought people a mixture of joy and sorrow. Chinese traditional music is divided into five major categories: songs, song and dance music, rap music, opera and instrumental music. Among operas, my hometown opera, Puxian Opera, is part of traditional Chinese music. I have often been to the theater under the guidance of my grandma since I was a child. It can be said that Puxian Opera was the first traditional music I came into contact with, and it is also the traditional Chinese music that has the deepest impact on me. By chance, I took the course "History of Chinese and Foreign Music" and felt the unique charm and unprecedented excitement of folk music. So I began to collect some information on Puxian Opera. My personal understanding of it is briefly introduced as follows: Puxian Opera has a profound musical tradition and rich singing styles, and many musical relics of Southern Opera from the Song and Yuan Dynasties are still preserved. The main vocal tune of Puxian Opera is "Xinghua tune", which is formed by integrating Puxian folk songs and slang tunes, Shiyinba music, Buddhist tunes, Song and Yuan lyrics and music, and Daqu songs and dances. It is sung in dialects and has a strong local flavor. A voice of color and flavor. The structure of the singing is "qubansuzhu", with men and women having the same tune and the same pronunciation. The melody is based on the pentatonic scale, with Zheng mode and Shang mode being the most common, followed by Gong and Yu mode. The tune versions are rich and colorful. It is said among the people that there are "360 major themes and 720 minor themes". Among them, there are more than 900 that originated from the Tang and Song dynasties, the lyrics and tunes of the Tang and Song dynasties, the tunes of various palaces, the singing styles and the operas of the Song, Yuan and Southern Dynasties. After talking about the rich and colorful singing styles of Puxian Opera, let’s talk about the distinctive features of Puxian Opera instruments. The musical instruments of early Puxian Opera were very simple, with only gongs, drums, and flutes just like Southern Opera of the Song and Yuan Dynasties. The drum is a big drum, and the gong is called Sha Gong. Gongs and drums are used to regulate stage performances. There are more than 300 kinds of gongs and drums, and the rules are strict. The flute is called the flute, and there are two types: the reed flute and the plum blossom flute. Then, with the continuous development of Puxian Opera, more and more musical instruments enriched the general category of Puxian Opera instruments. The most distinctive musical instrument of Puxian Opera is the reed flute, also known as the head pipe, which was passed down from ancient times. The plum blossom, also known as suona, is also the main musical instrument of Puxian Opera. Similarly, musical instruments are played in various ways in Puxian opera. From the Ming Dynasty to the present, Xinghua opera has become popular, with more than 140 opera troupes. People in Puxian only use gongs to watch operas. There are more than 500 sets of gongs and drums in Puxian opera, and more than 300 sets of scores can be passed down. From the Ming Dynasty to the present, the Putian people's enthusiasm for watching operas has only increased. There is actually a family in Putian that has set a family motto for the clan members: "Do not follow customs and obey women to climb mountains and enter temples to watch operas." The performances of Puxian Opera are always combined with local folk activities. There are as many Puxian Opera performances as there are folk activities. Performances and folk activities complement each other and complement each other. They soon become an indispensable part of folk activities. During festivals, weddings and birthdays, or games to welcome gods, plays will be performed. When I was a kid, because I couldn't understand, I just watched the show. What I paid attention to was not the plot and acting skills, but the props, costumes, and lively scenes. The boys picked up branches and imitated the martial arts with guns and sticks. Girls admire the actresses' fairy-like costumes, headdresses and pendants. As my age and life experience increase, I can gradually distinguish and judge who is the traitor, who is the loyal minister, who is the evil daughter-in-law, and who is the clown based on the actor's clothes, facial makeup, etc. Being affected by the story in the play, my emotions are completely integrated into the play. I am sad for the sadness of the characters in the play, happy for the reunion of the characters in the play, and always aggrieved when the good ministers and good people in the play are wronged. From the play, you can taste the taste of life, feel the vicissitudes of the world, the warmth and warmth of human relationships, realize that justice will eventually defeat evil, feel that there is true love everywhere in the world, and that the future is full of light, happiness and hope. A place of water and soil raises a party of children. Puxian people have an incomprehensible attachment to Puxian opera. "Three Beats of Wang Ying", "Spring Grass Breaks into the Hall", "After the Reunion", "Zhu Bian Returns to the Court", "Wang Shipeng's Bitter Wife", "Zhang Xie's Number One Scholar", "Wang Yun Offers Diao Chan", "Liu Zhiyuan" and so on.
These wonderful stories have been passed down orally from generation to generation and have spread among the people. Here, I hope that the folk tradition of Puxian Opera can be passed down forever, and I also hope that all traditional music can have a long history. Continue to influence more and more people...
