Can anyone tell me how to do home waxing and cleaning?

1. Solid wood flooring

The maintenance of solid wood flooring is more complicated. Usually, it is best to paint within a week after the floor is laid. There are two ways to apply paint, wax or paint. According to experience, waxing can better protect the floor because the wax can penetrate into the wood and prevent it from rotting or deforming.

It is best to wax the newly installed solid wood floor once a month. After that, it can be maintained once a season or half a year. Of course, do not use solid wax unless the floor has been severely worn. For solid wood floors that are more than five years old, only one application of solid wax is enough, and liquid wax is usually required.

2. Laminated wood flooring

The maintenance of laminate flooring is relatively simple. You only need to wipe it with a semi-dry mop. Try to avoid moisture and sharp or hot items to damage it. Floor damage. Some special stains can be cleaned immediately with mild detergent or warm water. Never use large amounts of water to clean the floor. Don't chew gum at home, because if it falls on the floor, you'll have work to do. There is no need to wax or paint, and do not use sandpaper to polish. Because the surface of laminate flooring is inherently smoother and brighter, waxing would be superfluous.

3. Composite wood flooring

The surface of composite wood flooring is a very thin layer of crystalline aluminum oxide wear-resistant layer, so sandpaper, cleaning agents, etc. must be used with caution , to prevent damage to the surface wear-resistant layer. For light-colored composite wood floors, our rice water is useful. Dip it in a rag and wipe it directly on the floor. After 5 minutes, wipe it with a dry rag. If it is wax or chewing gum, put ice cubes on it for a while to freeze and shrink it, then gently scrape it up, and then wipe it with a damp rag or a rag dipped in an appropriate amount of floor cleaner. Remember: Do not use strong acid-base liquids to clean laminate wood floors.
