What are the rules for the funeral of Hui people?

Hui people's funeral should go through the procedures of mortuary, good face, preparation for funeral, purification, burial and commemoration of the dead.

Funeral is the most important part of Hui funeral. Anyone who attends the funeral must be thoroughly purified. The host of the funeral ceremony is usually the imam of this square mosque, and some of them are determined according to the wishes of the deceased. Regardless of seniority and status, as long as they understand Islamic rules, they have high prestige among the masses.

Generally, according to the impermanence of the deceased, commemorative activities of different scales and ways are adopted. Commemoration begins on the night of burial, including the first seven days, the second seven days, the third seven days, the fortieth day, the hundredth day and the anniversary.

Mosque is the place where Hui people hold daily five o'clock worship, main hemp gathering ceremony and festival ceremony.
