Is it shameful to do work-study programs in college?

It's not shameful. I earn money by my own strength and ability. Many people in universities have no sense of independence at all, and everything depends on their families. Even at school, you can't live without your parents. Living expenses are paid on time every month, but friends need you to ask your parents for money and buy some daily necessities for dinner.

So as contemporary college students, we must learn to be independent. No one can help you forever, only you can give you a sense of security. In college, some people are very independent. They work hard at school and find part-time jobs to earn pocket money when they have time. We don't ask our parents for living expenses any more. We are all self-sufficient, so when we want to work part-time at school, let's do it, regardless of other people's ideas. After all, only we know our own affairs, so come on.
