Son-in-law or daughter-in-law

This is mainly because the status and identity of son-in-law and daughter-in-law are different, and it has little to do with the fragrance far away and the smell near.

As far as relatives are concerned, although the son-in-law and daughter-in-law are both junior, and their surnames are different in front of their parents-in-law, the traditional daughter-in-law and son-in-law are a family who live together every day. A family is relatively a member of its own family, but a son-in-law is different. A daughter marries a daughter, and a son-in-law is a family, not a cohabiting family.

They are linked by marriage, and walking around each other is the relationship between relatives and guests.

"Shortcomings are easy to get, but it is difficult to stay for a long time." With children, no son-in-law stays at his father-in-law's house every day except holidays. The so-called "one son-in-law and half son-in-law" is mostly filial piety and kindness to his wife, but the guest status has not completely changed.

The daughter-in-law is different. Although the in-laws are in charge of the guests, the daughter-in-law is also in charge of the family. There is no in-laws in front of the guests, and the master who can be completely in charge is the "master".

Since it is a long-term relationship between the guest and the host, the status of the daughter-in-law as the host cannot be changed. It is impossible for a family to be polite every day with their in-laws, and sometimes there will even be disputes. This is a matter between experts.

Even now, sons and daughters-in-law are separated from their parents and in-laws in rural areas, and daughters-in-law go home to be guests. Now that the son-in-law has come, the son-in-law still has the distinction of subject and object.

Because of their different identities, the son-in-law does not live with his father-in-law's parents. He only visits filial piety, and there are no unavoidable contradictions, so he can remain "polite".

And if the son and daughter-in-law come to the son-in-law's house, the brother-in-law and aunt are also guests, and the son-in-law and aunt are masters, which is also a "polite" treatment for the guests.

This is why daughter-in-law and son-in-law are treated differently. Daughter-in-law should not regard herself as an "outsider" of her husband's family.
