Who knows the origin of Harvard University in America?

Harvard University is located in Cambridge, near Boston, USA. Founded in 1636, it is the oldest university in the United States. The United States was founded in 1776, nearly 40 years later than Harvard. Harvard University was founded because the British colonists at that time wanted to build a university on American soil.
