Open clam experience

I want to know how pearls come from, so this weekend, my mother and I went to experience opening mussels to get pearls.

I first selected three big mussels and opened them by the staff. It is difficult to open them because it takes a lot of effort. I fumbled for the first clam shell. At first I thought there was no pearl in this one, but later I found a big black pearl. This pearl is hidden in a clam. You can only touch it with your hands, but you may not find it. I groped for the second clam, and there were some small pearls in it. Then I groped for the third clam and found that there was not only a big pearl in it, but also many small pearls beside it. At last, I took a look and found that one of all the pearls had a black line on it. This one is not satisfied.

Let's rinse the pearls first, then find a small cup, put water and citric acid in it and soak for a while. I found more and more bubbles when I was soaking. Later, when I took it out, I found a film on it and tore it off. Later, I put the pearl in a container full of stones. After the machine is started, it will make the pearls more shiny. It's called polishing.

When the pearls are polished, it's time to choose what to do. My mother and I struggled for a long time before deciding to make a pearl with a small crown necklace on it. My mother made a love earring.

The staff used a machine to make a small hole in the pearl we chose, and then there was a small screw on the necklace, which was screwed into the hole of the pearl and then reinforced with glue. So my little necklace and my mother's earrings were made.

This time, I not only returned home with a full load, but also learned how pearls came from. What a harvest!
