The difference between satin and suede

The difference between satin and suede is the texture and material.

Satin is a thick fabric made of silk, satin or brocade, and its front is smooth and shiny. There are many kinds of satin, and only one of the warp and weft in the satin weave covers the surface in the form of floating length, covering other evenly distributed single weave points.

Common satin includes flowered satin, plain satin, brocade, antique satin and so on. Satin, brocade and antique satin can be made into cheongsam, quilt cover and cotton-padded jacket.

Suede refers to the surface of velvet and refers to the fabric of velvet. Velvet refers to the velvet fabric made of mulberry silk or mulberry silk interwoven with chemical fiber filaments. Velvet is usually called velvet, because it has dense fluff or loops that are vertical or parallel, bright colors, and its appearance is similar to velvet wool.

Some varieties are not suitable for washing, such as floral satin, brocade, antique satin and so on. You can wash it with water, but you should use neutral soap or high-grade soap chips and high-grade synthetic detergent. First, dissolve the soap solution with hot water. After cooling, soak all the clothes, then gently rub them, rinse them with water, and press the fabric with both hands.

Because of the poor sunlight resistance of mulberry silk, clothes should be aired with their faces facing outward and placed in a cool place. When they are 80% dry, they should be taken out and ironed with a medium-temperature iron to keep the luster of the clothes unchanged and durable. Avoid water spray ironing on the front and avoid water stains. When cleaning, if you can add a little vinegar to the water, the washed clothes will be more colorful.
