Xinduqiao is the fork of the Sichuan-Tibet north-south line.

Along provincial highway 2 15, Tagong, Bamei and Daofu connect to national highway 3 17 in the north, Gongga Mountain, Jiulong County and Mianning in the south, G5 Jingkun Expressway in the west, and Litang goes to Lhasa along national highway 3 18, which is the only way for the southern line of Sichuan and Tibet.

Xinduqiao town is located in the west of kangding city, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Beitong (provincial road 2 15) connects Daofu, Ganzi and Jiulong counties in the south (provincial road 2 15), which is the only way for Kangding to go to Tibet.

It is 348km from Chengdu, 78km from Kangding, 65km from Yajiang and 0/685km from Lhasa/KLOC. It is 3630 meters above sea level.
