On the Perception of Parents' Meeting in Senior High School
First of all, on behalf of all parents, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all the teachers present! Students' grades are inseparable from the hard work and careful care of teachers.
The school asked me to talk about the experience of family education at today's parent-teacher meeting. To tell the truth, compared with the parents present, I haven't done enough. Since today's meeting is for everyone to learn and communicate with each other, I will introduce my family education to you as follows.
1. Parents are children's first teachers.
I think that after a child is born, parents are the first teachers of the child, so we should teach the child how to be a man from an early age. Every parent wants their children to succeed, and they want their children to study well and get ahead. However, I think it is very important to learn well. What's the use of good grades when children grow up if they are ugly and don't learn well? It may become a burden to the family and society. Therefore, I have educated my children from an early age to distinguish right from wrong, not to be infected with bad habits in society, and to guide them to develop good habits of respecting the old and loving the young, respecting teachers and valuing morality, and being honest and trustworthy. The child has never made a moral mistake since he went to primary school.
2. Encourage more, criticize less, and relieve children's mental stress. If the child makes a little progress, I will praise her and let her do better in the future. At present, from primary school to high school, children study harder than our working parents. It's really not easy for children to get up early at school to study, and their mental stress is also relatively high. Parents always beat and scold. If the child's mental stress is too great, it will be counterproductive.
3. Find out the shortcomings and provide timely counseling. For example, when she was in junior high school, her math was poor. I used the holiday time from grade one to grade three to ask someone to help her review and consolidate. At first, she refused to go, so I did her job. After I went, I couldn't get rid of it, even if I didn't feel well. After making up lessons, I have a solid foundation and improved my grades significantly. I am also particularly interested in these courses, and I will study.
4. Combination of study and rest. When she is tired of studying, watching TV, reading magazines or doing some housework properly, and taking her out for a walk and shopping on Sunday are of great help to her study. When she is doing her homework, I don't watch TV, just do housework or read books, so that she can have a quiet learning environment. I also subscribe to two magazines every month to broaden her extracurricular knowledge. The articles in them are very educational.
5. Parents and children should communicate more. When we communicate, we chat like friends, which is very relaxed and happy. My daughter is introverted and timid. She sometimes brings home what happened at school. I will affirm her good ideas or what she did well, and point out her shortcomings. At the first stage of studying in Camel Middle School, she also told me that sometimes she couldn't adapt to the study life in high school and sometimes she couldn't do her homework, so I encouraged her to ask the teacher more. Don't be afraid. Teachers like to ask questions you don't understand.
6. Cultivate children's ability to live independently. My daughter matured earlier and was very sensible from an early age. From the second half of the second grade of primary school, I don't care much about her in my life. I set an alarm clock for her to get up in the morning, eat breakfast outside, then go to school, eat at school at noon or eat fast food outside, and go home from school at night, because my home is far from school and I have to cross the road. At this time, I am very busy at work and my health is not good. So I can gradually form good habits and do my own thing well. When I am a little older, I can do some housework during the holidays. I sometimes go out for meetings and stay at home for a few days. I'll discuss with my daughter or ask my grandmother to stay for a few days. She said no, I can do it myself. She can take care of herself at home alone.
Finally, I have a request. Now that children live on campus and go home once a week, there are fewer opportunities to contact their families. I hope teachers will have more opportunities to communicate with students and strengthen the feelings between teachers and students. I believe this will definitely help students grow and learn.
