In the 1989 Spring Festival Gala sketch "Lazy Guys Dating", Song Dandan played Wei Shufen, Lei Kesheng played the lazy guy, and Zhao Lianjia played the village chief. It describes the village chief (played by Zhao Lianjia) acting as a matchmaker to help a lazy man (played by Lei Kesheng) introduce his partner (played by Song Dandan).
