What is the control technology of abnormal cherry fruit?

(1) Select a suitable variety. According to the production survey, Dazi and Hong Guang have the highest abnormal fruit rate, while Hongyan, Binku, Nanong and Hongfeng have lower abnormal fruit rate.

(2) Adjusting the temperature during flower bud differentiation. In the temperature-sensitive period of flower bud differentiation, in case of high temperature weather, short-term shading with shading net can reduce the temperature and solar radiation intensity, effectively reduce the occurrence of heavy pistil flower buds, and thus reduce the occurrence of deformed fruits in the following year. In addition, using protected cultivation to change the physiological and biochemical changes of sweet cherry can advance the flower bud differentiation period, thus avoiding the high temperature in summer and reducing the occurrence of abnormal fruit.

(3) Remove abnormal flowers and fruits in time. Because the flower of deformed fruit is deformed at flowering stage, it should be removed in time when it is found at flowering stage and young fruit stage of cherry, so as to preserve the nutrition of the tree and help the normal fruit to expand.
