Long live the charge, which is a very complicated topic. As early as during the Russo-Japanese War, when the number of Japanese artillery was dominant, the Japanese army first covered the artillery and then launched a long live charge. After rushing into the Russian position, it gave full play to the advantages of Japanese hand-to-hand combat and stabbing. The Japanese called it "fencing" and finally solved the battle with bayonets. After the Russo-Japanese War, the Japanese army became superstitious about the long-lived charge and hand-to-hand combat, and gradually enriched and improved the tactics of long-lived charge, that is, adding Grenade launchers, light machine guns and even mortars to the charge of the rifle detachment, destroying the enemy's machine gun battery in the charge, covering the charge of the rifle detachment, and finally solving the battle with hand-to-hand combat.

In the battlefield of China in World War II, due to the backwardness of China's national strength and technology at that time, all factions of the army did not have heavy artillery or were less equipped with light artillery. When defending against China, they generally only rely on the firepower of light and heavy machine guns, and the rifle quality of the Japanese army and the shooting skills of soldiers are also relatively backward. The weakness of China's army once again gave full play to the Japanese long live charge tactics. After the artillery cover, the Japanese army used Grenade launchers, light machine guns and mortars to cover the riflemen alternately, and also achieved certain victory.

However, in the Pacific battlefield, the US military's firepower coverage, disposable ammunition input, artillery configuration and air superiority far exceed that of the Japanese. Therefore, the long live charge has basically achieved nothing. It is worth mentioning that when the Japanese army ran out of ammunition and food and was unable to save the war, the Japanese army always used Long Live Charge to carry out suicide attacks, not to win, but as a spiritual behavior. Japanese people admire heroes who died generously and tragically, and instantly fell in love with brilliant cherry blossoms. Knowing that the war was defeated, they launched the final symbolic charge with bayonets and completed their samurai career. In this sense, the people of China abhor the crimes committed by the Japanese army, which is beyond words. Compared with the fascist army, the long-term charge is inhuman, crazy and meaningless. But as an army serving the country, it is also a brave and awesome act.
