What are blue tears?

When do the blue tears appear?

Blue tears in Pingtan usually appear from April to August every year.

Among them, April-May is noctilucent algae blue tears, so now it is the early stage of noctilucent algae blue tears.

Because noctiluca scintillans is a cold-water algae, when the water temperature exceeds its upper survival limit, blue tears will naturally disappear. The duration of this type of blue tears is also relatively short, usually about 3 seconds, and the tearcatcher must always be prepared.

July-August is the outbreak point of blue tears of fireflies.

fireflies are larger than noctiluca, so the granularity of blue tears will be clearer and brighter. Moreover, the survival time of firefly blue tears can reach 12 seconds, which is easier to capture.

According to the different marine environmental conditions, the duration of blue tears is different every year, ranging from 1 to 2 weeks to 1 to 2 months.

In fact, chasing blue tears will be very hard, although after sunset, blue tears will appear in places where there are no other light sources. Although chasing blue tears mostly depends on luck, you can also make some simple judgments when choosing the departure date.

For example, blue tears will only appear in sunny weather. If it rains continuously for a while, let's start at another time.

And if the wind is southerly, the temperature is warmer and the sea is still pale pink, blue tears will break out with greater probability that night.

If you live near Fuzhou, it is recommended to drive by car. Pingtan Island is not small, the distance between each scenic spot is more than 1km, and the public transportation on the island is not convenient. It will be more efficient to drive by car or get off the high-speed rail.

Of course, it is not recommended to drive into the vicinity of the teardrop. You can rent a battery car to enter.

How to play in Pingtan?

_ Longwangtou

Longwangtou is one of the largest bathing beaches in China, with a long coastline of 9.5km and good beach quality. It is the nearest teardrop point to Pingtan City. Play in Pingtan city during the day, and stay in blue tears at night on the head of the Dragon King recently.

The surrounding facilities of Longwangtou are quite complete, and the younger facilities such as coffee shops and music teahouses are gradually enriched. You can swim and surf on the beach, or you can camp with a tent on your back. It is also an excellent place to watch the sunrise in Pingtan.
