The hair is gentle and the skin is fertile. The sun is deeply benevolent, and when the energy is weak, it is easy to get sick..." Bai Juyi even thinks that the sun in winter is really a treasure to give away. "Negative Winter Day" writes: "The bright winter sun rises and shines on the south corner of my house. I sit with my eyes closed and my skin is harmonious. At first it is like drinking mellow wine, and like a stinging person. It melts outwardly and is smooth, and it is moderate. There is no thought. I forget where I am, and my heart is empty." Zhou Mi also gave an example of Chao Duanren, the fourth uncle of Chao Buzhi, one of the four scholars of the Su family, who suffered from "cold disease" and could not be cured. Later, he was exposed to the sun every day at noon. But he recovered.

Du Fu, Bai Juyi and others believe that winter can not only keep out the cold but also cure diseases, which has scientific basis.
