Dark brown doors and windows, gray tiles, old street lamps and winding stone roads tell the story of the Millennium old street in the dusk. Shaxi Ancient Town is quietly located on the banks of Qipu River, with a history of 1300 years. There is a river, two streets, three bridges and an island. All the people who live here are aborigines. They work at sunrise and rest at sunset. Everything is so simple and natural. There are no street vendors, no modern buildings that don't conform to the surrounding ancient atmosphere, and even the air conditioners installed in residents' homes are hidden in the dark and covered with brown wooden boxes. There are some bronze sculptures on both sides of the street, which reflect the livelihood of residents in the old society, such as repairing shoes, sharpening knives, pulling carts and selling oil.
