The first is the economy. The economic base determines the superstructure. The quality of the economy will determine the fate of the army, how big, how long and how good the army can develop. Since ancient times, there has been a saying that a gun goes off and gold is two thousand. Especially in modern wars, it is money. Whoever has strong economic strength will have confidence. Like the Iran-Iraq war. Before the war, Iraq and Iran relied on the wealth accumulated by oil, and their military strength was greatly improved. How much manpower and material resources were spent in eight years, and almost all of them used modern weapons in the later period. After a few years of recovery, the military strength recovered rapidly. But where does its military power come from? I bought it. People can sell it to you or not. Iraq is completely helpless in the face of American guided weapons, electronic warfare and stealth fighters. In other words, it is not at the same level. Third, politics. Politics and military affairs are inseparable. As the saying goes, going out depends on friends. It is impossible for every country to develop on its own, that is, it is closed to the outside world. So every country basically has a few friends. It is easy to chat with friends. For example, the development of China-Pakistan railway is slow, but it needs to deal with the threat of India and terrorist organizations and develop armaments. What if you can't develop yourself? Cooperation. China helps to provide production lines, equipment and technical support. Another example is NATO, small groups in Europe and America. If something happens, we will follow America's big brother, exchange military technology with each other and engage in military exercises. No matter how powerful a country is, it is a bit difficult to face the collective pressure of many countries. Therefore, whether politics is strong or not is a supplement to the military system to some extent.

Fourth, population. Population elements include: population quantity, population quality and population composition. First of all, the quantity needs to be sufficient. There are not enough people, and it is useless to have more weapons and equipment. Only with the bottom of quantity can we talk about the optimization of quality, which is also the guarantee of military resources. Second, population quality. This is related to a country's education. In modern times, we pay attention to high technology. I can't operate without a certain quality. So the population should have knowledge. Moreover, the improvement of population quality is also conducive to the development of science and technology. Finally, the demographic composition. The prominent problem in society now is the aging of the population. You can't let a group of old people go to war. Therefore, if the population composition is reasonable, there will be stamina and potential for development and sustainable development will be realized.

Fifth, territory. I mean the land area here. The land area is not too big, but it can't be too small. After all, there should be enough space to develop the military, which is nothing to talk about. For example, Belgium and other countries in western Europe do not need to develop their military on a large scale. No matter how strong the deployment is, the other side will destroy the country with a dive attack. There is simply not enough strategic depth.
