Have you ever heard of the bizarre deeds of the people around you?

It doesn’t matter who around me, my father-in-law is a strange person.

My mother-in-law had a lumbar disc herniation operation on Friday. After she came out, the doctor told her to eat light food and drink some porridge. Yesterday, the second day of the operation, I went to see my mother-in-law again. As a result, there was no sign of my father-in-law. The person in the bed next to me said that he went out for a walk and asked my mother-in-law to watch the drip by herself. Halfway through, she called the doctor, so my mother-in-law kept watching the drip by herself!

My mother-in-law was hungry, so she boiled the eggs she had cooked two days earlier in boiling water and ate them. She also asked the patient in the bed next door who had an injured leg to help. After I went there, I boiled a box of milk for my mother-in-law to drink. Because I was pregnant, I didn’t forget to give myself a box. By the way, I asked my mother-in-law how she was eating that day.

She said that her father-in-law gave her a steamed egg in the morning, which was so salty that she could only drink water. She also gave her a box lunch from the hospital at noon, which made her feel nauseated. I called my father-in-law and asked if he had brought dinner, but no one picked up the answer. When he came back at 5 pm, he was empty-handed and he didn’t bring any food for my mother-in-law. So I asked my mother-in-law what to eat tonight, and my father-in-law said , you can’t eat anything, you can’t.

I said, of course, I couldn’t eat a box lunch. I had to eat some porridge just after the operation to feel more comfortable. He said, then the hospital cafeteria has steamed buns and porridge. I was really speechless. I said the porridge in the hospital cafeteria is delicious. You go back and cook it yourself. It will taste better anyway, and my mother-in-law will also eat better.

Then he stopped talking. After waiting for a while, I looked at the time, it was 5:30, and said, "Go back and cook porridge." He actually said, "It's still early, don't panic." It was with great difficulty that I asked him to go back to cook. While walking, he said that the hospital food was too bad and he couldn't eat it. I said, you can't eat it as a normal person, so why don't you give it to your mother-in-law who just had surgery?

More than an hour later, my father-in-law came with vegetable porridge and cold lettuce shreds. What was strange was that he actually bought himself a bottle of strong wine. What was even more strange was that he even bought some wine from the hospital. I took out a bag of sausages cooked and cut two days ago from the cabinet. My mother-in-law definitely couldn't eat this now. She was very kind to me, with wine and meat.

My husband and I just got married this year. We have never lived with my parents-in-law, nor do we know them well. So before yesterday, I had no idea that my father-in-law was such a weird person, and he didn’t even bother to cook for her. My mother-in-law ate it in the hospital bed, and actually ate a box lunch after the operation.

This weird father-in-law has constantly refreshed my knowledge in the past two days. I can only call my husband out of town and ask him to talk about his father and take good care of his mother. The children all have jobs and he is idle. He took care of me all the time, yet he still wanted to be lazy.
