Mango Travel Diary: I have always heard the name of Hengshan Mountain in Nanyue. This time, I heard that there is rime on the mountain, which is as beautiful as a fairyland, so I decided to find out.

I heard that the mountain is very cold and the ground is slippery, so I prepared coats, wool, hats, scarves, gloves, crampons, baby warmers, foot warmers and hand warmers.

From Guangzhou South Railway Station, take the high-speed train for 2 hours 12 minutes to Hengshan West Railway Station. The second-class fare is 259 yuan. Hengshan West Station is seven or eight kilometers away from Nanyue Hengshan Scenic Area, which is very close. You can take a taxi or a bus. We booked accommodation, so we went to the inn first, went to Nanyue Temple at the foot of the mountain on the first day, and climbed the mountain the next morning.

Day 1: Make a wish at Nanyue Temple.

The inn is in Nanyue District, which is also very close to the scenic spot. Arrive at the inn, put down your luggage and go to Nanyue Temple after lunch. I have long heard that Nanyue Temple is very popular. It is said that there are 530,000 people crowded outside the gate during the rush hour. Although it is the off-season, there are still many tourists. It is said that Nanyue Temple is famous at home and abroad, not only in Hunan, but also in Guangdong, Guangxi, Hongkong, Taiwan Province Province, and even in Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia.

Nanyue Temple is known as the "First Temple in the South of the Yangtze River" and the "Forbidden City in the South". It is a magnificent ancient architectural complex integrating folk temples, Buddhist temples and Taoist temples. It is said that it was built in Sui Dynasty and Tang Dynasty. It has a history of 1400 years. It is said that everything is effective, so the fragrance is very strong. Tickets for 60 yuan in peak season and 40 yuan in low season.

After visiting Nanyue Temple, I went back to the inn, had dinner, rested early, and prepared to go up the mountain to see the rime the next morning.

The next day: enjoy the southern rime.

Depart at eight o'clock in the morning, arrive at the visitor center, get tickets to 80 yuan, and get a one-way environmental protection ticket from the gate to Banshanting to 25 yuan (round trip to 50 yuan). Now that the cable car is out of service, we can only walk from Banshan Pavilion to Zhurongfeng, and it takes about 3 or 4 hours to walk from Banshan Pavilion to the top of the mountain.

Going up the mountain is much easier than I thought. I don't know if it's because I'm looking forward to it. I'm very excited, although I don't feel tired carrying a bunch of equipment. At first, there was no ice on the road and there was no ice hanging on the trees. The more we go up, the more ice there is and the more beautiful the scenery is. Although the road is a little slippery, we can walk normally as long as we put on the crampons.

On the way, I passed three temples: Tiefo Temple, Danxia Temple and Xiangnan Temple, and then I arrived at the Nantianmen Temple of Wealth. Further up is Zhurongfeng, and the scenery along the way is not too beautiful to describe. Many tourists skate in the worse gate, and they have a good time. The clouds on the mountain are like fairyland.

The scenery along the way is particularly pleasing to the eye. The road is covered with white snow and ice, and the branches on both sides are covered with ice strings. The fog is looming, as if it had strayed into the Heavenly Palace. It's beautiful. I've been taking pictures. It seems that I forgot the passage of time and climbed to the top unconsciously.

I may have stayed at the top of Zhurong Peak for a long time, so I feel particularly cold and windy. Later, I walked down, probably because I had been exercising, so I didn't feel so cold.

Accommodation recommendation: First, you can live in Nanyue District (I live in Yuanshanyi Inn in Nanyue District), which is very close to Nanyue Temple and Hengshan Mountain, and it is very convenient to eat and go shopping. Most inns can pick up and drop off high-speed railway station for free; Second, you can live at the top of Zhurongfeng, which is convenient to watch the sunrise and sunset, but the conditions are poor and the price is relatively high;

Equipment:

Thick down jacket or coat with velvet coat, sweater, hat, gloves, shoes with velvet (girls should never wear high heels), crampons (you can buy them in advance or in hotels and scenic spots), baby warmers, hand warmers, and foot warmers (I bought Decathlon's, about eight hours, and the temperature is relatively high).
