Walking in the street, you can see all kinds of typos on various city advertisements, publicity columns, signboards, store signs and placards. The survey shows that all kinds of signboards and advertisements on the street are not standardized, some deliberately use typos, some use homophones to change idioms and use traditional Chinese characters.

There are typos in some advertisements of storefront along the street, such as "new image" written as "new image", "love at first sight" written as "soliciting customers" written in Iraq, "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" written as "fashion show" and "picking clothes and decorations" written as "picking", which is even more common. The abuse of simplified characters often exists in all kinds of handwritten notices, and some typos are really difficult to identify without pondering, scrutinizing or even studying!

Findings:

Nowadays, there are fewer or even no typos, traditional Chinese characters and simplified Chinese characters in students' lives. I think this survey is very helpful to our life, and I hope to organize more such activities in the future.

Feeling:

In my opinion, these irregular words can be divided into two categories: one is typo and the other is other words. Relevant departments should investigate clearly why shops use typos as advertising signs. Many primary school students always think that the words on advertising signs are all right, so they write a lot of typos, which affects the standardization and accuracy of using words. I hope all the words I see in the future are correct, and there are no typos!
