In order to improve our awareness of environmental protection and make our city more beautiful, the Youth League Committee of our school organized an activity on the afternoon of 1 1 March 23rd. All the students took an active part. First of all, we gave the whole school a thorough cleaning, including all classrooms, teachers' offices and bedrooms, to make the campus more tidy and orderly. Senior one students take to the streets to collect waste paper, plastic bags, beverage bottles or cans. Then those discarded things are sorted out and sent to the recycling center. Senior two students help clear weeds in the school garden and put up slogans to remind us to protect flowers and trees and not to trample on the lawn. In addition, in public places, senior three volunteers distributed leaflets to passers-by, calling on people to protect the surrounding environment and make full use of natural resources. In this way, we can make great contributions to building a harmonious society.
