Do you know what day it is today?

Today is the first day of school, which also shows that my campus life will start again from today. I got up very early in the morning in order to meet my good classmates and friends early and welcome the arrival of the new semester.

After breakfast, I rushed to school excitedly. As soon as I entered the classroom door, I was stunned by the sight: there were a number of brand-new desks and chairs in the classroom, the blackboard was bright enough to look in the mirror, and all the students put on all kinds of new clothes ... The whole scene gave me a brand-new feeling, so I went to my seat to say hello to my classmates and say hello to each other.

Then, March of the Volunteers sounded on the school stereo, indicating that the opening ceremony was about to begin. The students lined up neatly and assembled on the playground. First of all, President Ma of our school announced that "the opening ceremony of Chengjiang Primary School from 20 12 to 20 13 school year begins now". Then, all the students stood still and sang the national anthem. All our classmates are watching the bright five-star red flag and singing our magnificent national anthem loudly. At this short moment, my heart can't help thinking: Ah, how happy we are! Our happiness is the blood of countless heroes. We should cherish this wonderful day and don't live up to the efforts of the heroes. From now on, we should study hard, make progress every day and make contributions to the motherland when we grow up! After singing the national anthem, it is the leader's speech, which is to educate us on health, safety, legal system, study and morality. Unconsciously, the opening ceremony was over, and we reluctantly returned to the classroom.
