About UG software

First of all, talk about UG2.0, the classic version, which is stable and fast. Later, when the version didn't come out, it was very good. Many people like to use it. Even the most classic UG course of Guo Chongzhan is UG2.0, but the defect is that the modeling function is not perfect enough. However, UG company improved quickly in the later version of NX3.0: the appearance of artistic spline and X-molding is a great leap in modeling function ... UG3.0, which I used for the longest time, is stable and has strong modeling function. Programming with UG3.0 is also slightly faster than UG2.0, which can be said to be a very big breakthrough.

Later, when version 4.0 came out, and UG became popular, the function of customizing shortcut keys came out. This is another major breakthrough. I used to hate version 4.0, because in the early stage of its release, it was often that he had too many calculation programs, but fortunately, it was improved in later patches and became another classic in the history of UG development. However, due to personal habits, he still doesn't use it often.

Once a year, UG5.0 came out, and its section was brand-new, but many people thought it was a failed version, so it passed. I don't know, because I jumped directly from UG3.0 to UG6.0, and there is little difference between UG6.0 and 5.0. I'll just skip 5.0 here and compare it with 3.0 and 4.0. . . Let's put aside the transformation function here, and the command to split the curve is obviously not as good as before; And I don't know where the function of three-point surface forming is hidden, which is inconvenient for modeling people. As for the programming function, most people think that it has too many parameters and is too complicated ... but its X-forming function is enhanced and more intuitive, and its direct modeling function is much stronger than the previous version, especially the commands to delete and replace surfaces. Many surfaces that UG3.0 and 4.0 can't delete and replace can be solved with 6.0.

Let's talk about version 7.0 first, which is similar to UG6.0 in terms of interface and function. The only thing that adds a "parallel generation" when calculating a program is actually a good function. As we all know, when using UG to calculate programs, the memory consumption of computers is extremely huge. Although using this function to calculate the program is slow, there are few cases of memory overflow, and you can also open other files to do other things, which can be described as killing two birds with one stone.

I don't want to say more about version 7.5, because it has never been used, and UG8.0 has also come out. It seems that there are many relief modeling modules, but I haven't tried them yet. In fact, which version is easy to use depends on my personal habits. Expect UG to do better and better!
